Last summer Hurrah!

We had an awesome week. It was my birthday this week, and Ben and Carrie and their kids were in town, and whenever that happens we have a ton going on!

Sunday we had the family dinner at my parents house- Lucy always thinks people are singing to her when they sing happy Birthday!

we also went over to luke and amy's that night to watch the annual lake powell video that luke makes- it was awesome! and we already can't wait to go back!



i don't have any pictures of Monday, but that night cheryl and kyle babysat Lucy, and Tyler and I went and saw 'The Switch', i thought it was so cute!

Tuesday- my birthday- I am now the ripe old age of 22!! Woot woot. I headed up to Kaysville and went to lunch with my mom and coleen up at the bun basket- coleen got lucy the cutest outfit ever for my birthday. you will see it further down!



then i headed over to the crosland's to spend the day making aprons- i mean, well I don't sew-- i just sat and looked important, and remembered how to use a sewing machine while carrie and amy made their aprons! macey was against my camera for some reason- but here is cute lucy and blake!

that night we all went to pizza factory in bountiful for my birthday- one of my favorite restaurants. I love the look people give you when you say you have 5 adults, a booster seat, and 3 high chairs. =)


i love cody! he is the sweetest little boy!


wednesday we went to the zoo. this is so typical- me and amy brought our strollers and they got a wagon for cody and macey- well lucy would only ride in the wagon, cody wanted to pull the wagon, macey wanted to be held the whole time, and blake wanted to ride in my stroller. Haha. =)


lucy loves the animals. she was so excited seeing the elephants, giraffes, and monkeys, and loved the reptile house



she also cried when we had to leave the merry go round. she is so funny.

thursday i headed back to up to kaysville to coach at the jr high, and that night tyler came up to watch the U of U game, so I went to dinner with my cute friend Meg! Love her!

Friday morning we woke up bright and early and headed up to swiss days! So fun- it seriously is my most favorite thing. I got Lucy 2 cute new dresses, and a darling shirt, along with some other random things. Have I mentioned I love shopping? I could have spent so much more money there... geez...

That night was my girls homecoming game so we had a pizza dinner for the girls and my seniors from last year and enjoyed the game- even if they got killed. =)

this cute lady behind us gave lucy a sucker- she was in heaven!


and one of my cute captains- Cassidy got crowned Homecoming queen at half time! (her date/boyfriend also got crowned Homecoming king. =)) Haha. She is so darling.

Saturday we decided to leave our house the disaster it still is and Lucy and I headed to our favorite Lindon pool for a few hours! We were like the only ones there for the first like 2 hours- it was awesome, and Lucy was in Heaven! She made us go down the huge slide that she has to wear a life jacket on like 15 times, she is so cute and brave! and LOVES the water!

that night we went back up to kaysville for ben's b-day celebration, watched the byu game, and lucy sported her new 'princess' jammies that grandma bonnie bought her at swiss days! she loves them!

    I am SO not ready to have a baby, but when I look at your blog, it makes me so excited. I hope my kids turn out as cute as Lucy--seriously!

    Lucy is so cute, I love all your pictures and you look amazing! I need to get as skinny as you :) I was so glad to get together tonight, hopefully we can talk more next time haha. Love you car!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
