I was recently hired as the Head Cheerleading Coach down here at Orem High! I am so excited! I was just officially hired yesterday and am already busy planning summer schedules, camps, ordering uniforms, etc.. etc... It really makes me appreciate my cheer coaches in high school so much more! (Thanks Shelley and Brooke!) haha... It will be so much fun though, and the girls all seem so cute! I can't wait to get to know them better, and practice, practice, practice! I am sure this next school year will be full of surprises, but I can't wait! My favorite comment of congratulations was my moms, you have to understand she cheered there her sophomore year, then didn't make it the next year, but its all ok because then she met my dad in her 7th period drama class... you would have to know my mom, but here is how our conversation went:... She says, "Oh this is such sweet revenge". Me- "what, why, that doesn't make sense?" mom, "Yes it does, I didnt' ...

So everyone who knows Tyler knows he is horrible at surprises... Our anniversary is this weekend and he kept teasing me that he was taking me to Logan, so finally I said, Ok i'll be direct with you no beating around the bush, like i did with our honeymoon, so i said if you take me to Logan I will be mad. Tyler basically owed me a honeymoon.... So he finally said just let me tell you where we are going... PLlleasseee... and I said no, I want a surprise.. but he kept wanting to tell me, and eventually did, so he told me. We are going to San Francisco this weekend!! You should all be jealous... I loved the good weather this weekend!! We went camping with our friends this weekend up Farmington Canyon... it was so much fun just to be outside and enjoy the good weather! So it has been years since I last drew with sidewalk chalk on my driveway, but last weekend I got home and little Can Can was out drawing masterpieces. I could'nt wait to join in on the fun! This goes out to my beautiful amazingly wonderful mother, Carrie Brock!! Things I love about my mom: she spells everything (hence the m-o-m), she taps her thumb on the steering wheel when she drives and is singing along to the radio, she loves her coach sunglasses that my aunt jana gave her, she is the queen of going to lunch and shopping!! (i really did get it from her!!), she teaches ski lessons now! my dad really got to her, she would literally buy us kids the world if she could, she has seasonal candy out- salt water taffy in summer, tootsie rolls in fall, and 'chewy peps' in the winter time, she loves slap sticks, she would sometimes not tell my dad when we got in trouble sneaking out in high school.. thanx mom!, she just bought new appliances for our kitchen and her first worry was about how the new stainless steel wouldn't hold magnets!!, she tells one of us kids something like ten times and the other not at all, she is such a huge Softy and gives in so easily, when...

This one of the dance classes i teach at jazz n'place. They are all so funny. If you only knew some of the conversations we had during class. They live such adventurous lives!! =) Little Jaislyn in one of my classes at the gym wrote me this note today. Needless to say we had to make time for the pit and 'play time'. I am such a softy. The picture she drew. I get lots of pictures at the gym. Most of them are hanging on the wall... Art. Priceless! I love the girls!

For those of you who don't know, I work at a gymnastics place... Can i just say to all of you reading this... Please please please don't be a crazy cheer/dance/gym/anything mom! I am so grateful each and every day of my work life that my mom was just a mom and didn't force us to do anything. (Thanx mom!!) I took over some of Cheryl's classes while she went to germany, and today one of her classes, that I also know very well was crazy! I can't tell you how much I love these girls to death, but today i thought i was going to tackle one of them! I finally told them that my new name was "Carly the mean" and that I was going to mean for the rest of the day. I really wasn't that mean to be honest, but the girls all thought it was so funny. I think little Mackenzie will forever call me that. (Sidenote, she looks exactly like Cinderlla. Blonde hair.. big beautiful eyes) Little Kennadi was making fun of me saying that i like pull my hair out when i'm frustr...

So today was finally warm and sunny and glorious and i loved it!!! I only had to teach for like an hour and a half this morning, and my girls had their dance recital tonight, so i had the whole day to myself!! (sidenote... this never ever ever happens). It was so nice to just take my time doing the laundry, cleaning, and working out! I went on a nice long run down by Tyler's work. There are a bunch of running/biking paths down there by the river. Ok, lets be honest. It was more of like a run for the first half, then walk/run. But i'm totally ok with that. I just LOVE to be outside. I even got a little sunburnt. It was great... except for the fact that now I can't really walk. The moral of the story is this... I need to get into better shape and work out more than just once a week, I really do like working out I'm just not much of a morning person and thats when i usually have time. Ok so this week we were actually in Utah the whole week! Lets give updates in our lives.... Carly started school again... I was really not looking forward to it, but i really like my classes so far. I'm taking modern english grammars, and educational psychology. Both very interesting... I am doing like 4th grade homework in my grammar class, but i definitely needed the review. I am sure this class will get alot harder very soon... But so far so good! Tyler is just working. P.S. i hate his work.. not really, but i'm jealous. He always gets free food! He gets lunch twice a week during their 'trainings' and breakfast if he goes in on saturdays. Plus tons of other little incentives. Lucky.... Carly got called to be primary president.
