Travels and Surprises!

So everyone who knows Tyler knows he is horrible at surprises... Our anniversary is this weekend and he kept teasing me that he was taking me to Logan, so finally I said, Ok i'll be direct with you no beating around the bush, like i did with our honeymoon, so i said if you take me to Logan I will be mad. Tyler basically owed me a honeymoon.... So he finally said just let me tell you where we are going... PLlleasseee... and I said no, I want a surprise.. but he kept wanting to tell me, and eventually did, so he told me. We are going to San Francisco this weekend!! You should all be jealous... I am so excited! I dont' think I ever really have been, and if I had it was when i was little, so it should be so much fun! Let me know if there is anywhere super fabulous we need to check out. We are staying in the Hotel Serrano.. or something like that, so let me know!

And... we leave for Lake Powell a week from Friday for eight days. We had our lake powell meeting the other night and I am so excited. We're trying to come up with fun activities and such to play while we are there, so let me know if you have any ideas for fun games/family activities!

Me and Ty are also movie lovers... Great movies we have seen lately... Indiana Jones.. who doesn't love Indy? Narnia... i actually really like this one! and What happens in Vegas. Loved it! But we Love all movies!

    Car! I'm very jealous :) Zach and I went there for a day after we got engaged and it was sooo much fun. Definitely ride the trolley (I loved it at least) and go past that Lumbard (I think that's how it's spelled) street. It's the super curvy one. And don't forget Pier 39 haha...and get some clam chowder on the pier if you can (best EVER). Zach isn't a big fan of clam chowder but he loved it there. Ok, ok that's all. I miss ya girl. I'm coming home for a week in June so we all better get together! Have fun in San Fran...it's super awesome!

    Hi Carly, you don't know me I'm an old friend of Tylers from high school... I just randomly came across your blog- We used to go to San Fran every summer, YOU'LL LOVE IT. Pier 39 is a must, china town is fun, the Tolley ride is a classic, they have goregous parks where you can rent fun bikes and even the tour of Alcatraz is pretty cool. You can't go wrong there... Have fun:)

    Wow... one year already? Have fun. Can't go wrong with skinny dipping at Lake Powell... what boy doesn't like that game. You should also check out Iron Man if you haven't already. We both really liked it.

    Congrats Carly! You will be such a good cheer coach! You guys definitely need to try the clam chowder on the pier (just in little booths), it is SO good. We had fun in Chinatown and Pier 39. We can't wait to see you in a week! Have fun!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
