Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This was our first year being away from our families, and I was so worried I was going to be so homesick all weekend, but we had such a fun Thanksgiving! Jenny and I met at the Y in the morning to run because it was freezing outside, and then I headed home to cook. I only had one minor disaster-- extremely burnt marshmallows on my sweet potatoes! But I hurried scraped those off, popped some new ones and and threw them under the broiler for a minute and we were good to go! We met at the church with about 13 other families to have a HUGE Thanksgiving! I think we had over 70 people!  We had 3 Turkeys, a Ham, and about one million sides. Enough food to feed an army, that's for sure! Here's the girls-- or most of them anyway! Kim Wake, Tera Amsbury, Angie Thompson, Kristen Karren, Leslie Anthony, Colette Douglas, Anna Winn, Cody Woodland, Heather Wistisen, then Jenny Jacobs and I in the front. North Dakota sunrise... amazing!! This last week I have been working. Yep, working. This is probably the most legit job I have ever had. I feel like being a cheer/gymnastics/dance/tumbling coach doesn't really count....  but anyway. As many of you know, Tyler is running a Temp agency up here and  a company was looking for some girls to come down to help with invoicing, etc... So I went down last week Wed, Thurs, Fri, and this week on Friday. It's in New Town on the Indian Reservation, so it's like an hour and 15 minutes from Minot, which isn't that awesome. But it's been good- I'm hopefully going to start doing some stuff for them from home to make a little extra $$. Which hopefully will all go towards savings for some fabulous vacation, because we'll pretty much be rich now. (A girl can dream right, it will really probably end up going toward things like new tires, and next years new shoes for Lucy... etc...) But anyway.  Clara Mae is 18 months...

I'm really not super involved in Politics, but I am so thankful to live in the United States, and I am so grateful that we are able to vote! I know it feels a lot like our vote doesn't count- especially for us in those one-sided states, but I think that it still does. I think it is so important to go vote. We get to decide who are leaders are, and that is amazing. I'm a Romney fan myself. A Republican. And to be honest, I'm a little bummed out he didn't get elected. But, Obama is still the President of the United States. It's not a job that I would like anytime soon, and he has a huge amount of responsibility on his shoulders. I am thankful for him, and keep him in my prayers!  I saw someone I know say on Facebook that they were sick of hearing about politics, religion, etc... and that some things are meant to be kept personal and sacred. And I thought that was the silliest thing I had ever heard! We need to be actively involved in politics, and what a ...
