Happy Halloween 2012!

Halloween night we headed over to cute Jenny's house at like 5:45! We all gathered there to go Trick or Treating, then we had a yummy dinner, and the kids played on her bounce house in her garage, had an amazing dance party with music videos in her basement, bobbed for apples in the tub, and the kids had a fun craft to do in her craft room downstairs! Awesome!

 Ju Ju ended up being Snow White, and Ashlyn was Ariel, so Lucy had lots of little princess friends!
 Lucy had SO much fun trick or treating! It was still really cold, but not windy or raining, so we got lucky! She got a few different full size candy bars, and lots and lots of goodies! She had a blast going up to the doors 'all by herself' she said. (She went up to the doors with friends instead of mom and dad this year- we watched from the front lawns!)
 Clara was pretty grumpy all night... until she hit the dance floor later!  I left Lucy's pumpkin at home on accident, so she had to use this totally awesome Lululemon bag.
 Tyler rocked his Obi-Wan Kanobi costume again, I was going to try and be Princess Leia, but settled for being a devil instead! Lame...
 Lucy's favorite thing she got in her bag? Cheetos. Score!

 And my little Devil-Spawn... Violet. I just love her! Is she not the cutest 6 year old you have ever seen? She kills me!
 The kids had SO much fun on the bounce house, and surprisingly no one died! Yay!
 As soon as we headed downstairs where the music was playing Clara was having a blast! She got up on the 'stage' (coffee table...) and stayed there for over an hour! It was awesome. She is going to be quite the little dancer! we love our little Clara!
We had SO much fun dancing, and we stayed down there forever! Us moms really are the best dancers... what can I say? Favorite music videos? Thriller, We are never ever getting back together, and anything One Direction... and The Killers. Jenny and Jaymie are obsessed!

We stayed out WAY to late, and it was one of the best Halloweens to date! Tyler took the girls home around ten, and I stayed until about midnight to help clean up! Let's just say the next morning Lucy made it to preschool around 10:15.... and it starts at 8:45... Mother of the year! Yay!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
