clara had spaghetti this week... such a cutie. i'm obsessed. she is the cutest baby in the universe. we have had a good week. it has been like 60-70 degrees all week! Thank the heavens! I LOVE to be outside. There is something about sunshine that makes me feel joyous. Yep. joyous. nothing too exciting going on this week for us. we had a little relief society lunch bunch on monday at... wait.. you guessed it, Qdoba! Haha.. I think i'm going to make a goal to try everything on their menu before the end of the year. Then we had the missionaries over for dinner again that night. tyler was in dickinson wed night, so the girls and i headed to 'pizza ranch' with my friend jaymie and her fam-- the kids were putting on quite the show all night. it was awesome.  lucy loves to color. she is so funny-- lines up all of her crayons and always colors in little tiny squiggles all over her paper. I always let her stay up later with me when tyler is gone-- aka, I'm too...

Banana Cookies & Sugar Cookies

Image
I have had a few different people ask me for these recipes, so I decided it would be easier just to post them on here! These are my mom's Sugar Cookies: 1 cup butter 2 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 cup sour cream 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp baking soda 4 tsp baking powder 4 1/2 cups flour 1/2 tsp salt Cream butter & sugar. Add Sour Cream. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients. Refrigerate dough after mixing-- I usually make the dough the night before and keep in the fridge over night, and roll out the dough the next morning. 350 degrees. 14-17 minutes. lightly pam pans, or use parchment paper. Cream cheese frosting: 1/2 cup softened butter 8 oz. Cream cheese 1/4 cup sour cream 1 Tb Vanilla 4 cups powdered sugar mix all together **Tyler wanted me to add that these are better the day after you cook and frost them... They are still good the first day, but delicious the second! now to the banana cookies... also from my mom 1 cup butter flavo...

dakota zoo

Image
Saturday was St. Patricks Day! We decided that because it was 75 degrees we should head down to Bismarck to go to the zoo! Minot does have a zoo, but because of the flood it hasn't reopened yet. We're crossing our fingers that it will reopen this summer sometime! Lucy had a blast with Grandma Bonnie and we just loved being outside! I love this cute little girl!  and this one too! We saw wolves, a fox, otters, reindeer, and a big tiger, but I think Lucy's favorite were the bear cubs! There were 4 Grizzly bear cubs that were all playing together so cute! It was awesome.  Right at the entrance they had the cutest little baby goats and miniature horses and donkeys. Lucy LOVED them! Lucy has been obsessed with holding Clara's hand lately! She insisted on holding it the whole way home. These two girls are pretty dang cute!  Clara also figured out how to play peek-a-boo all by herself with her blanky! It's so cute!...

spring has sprung!

we had another great week... it has been warming up and we LOVE the warm weather! Lucy is currently the queen of falling asleep in the most random places/positions possible. She insisted on wearing her Rapunzel dress and wings to the YMCA daycare Monday, and all throughout walmart afterwards.... and then fell asleep in the cart.  Tuesday the weather was finally warm enough to go playoutside! We met a bunch of friends at the park and had so much fun-- Lucy ran and ran and ran, and was so dirty! The adults got Qdoba, and all the kiddos got McDonalds and played on the playplace for dinner. We went with Jenny & David, Jaymie & Mark, and Angie & Chris. We're so glad we've made some good friends since being here. Wednesday we cleaned, and it was warm enough again to run outside. Yay!  Thursday we went to go pick up grandma Bonnie from the airport! We have been so lucky to have both of our moms come to see us, and we have loved it! Grandma got to com...

sunday fun.

Lucy trying to hide during church... she is such a stinker sometimes... Love her though! Today was a good good day. Probably because it was like 70 degrees again and we could all wear short sleeves, and Lucy even wore her gold sandals to church! yay! I subbed the CTR 4 class, and had fun just playing and singing during sharing time! (Sharing time is 10x better than Sunday school.... After being in primary for SO long, sunday school is so so long to me, I'm trying though!) The girls looked darling in their matching dresses, and they were both just being so funny. They play together so well, and I just love that they are so close in age and will be little friends! I don't want another baby for quite a while... but I am so so glad these two are close and that they have each other! Tyler had a priesthood meeting after church so the girls and I got to go on our first walk around our neighborhood! We had to do a little 4 wheeling to get out of our apartment compl...

cute girls.

I can't get enough of these cute kids. This whole weekend I have been feeling so blessed, and so grateful for our little family! I am so so glad I get to spend so much time with Tyler now, and that we have the cutest little girls in the whole world. It's such a nice feeling that I feel like things are where they are supposed to be. (For now anyway!) Tyler has a good job, we have two beautiful girls, etc... I am really content with life! Love it. Lucy was pretty sick Monday-Wednesday with a super high fever, and being super tired. That's pretty much how Lucy gets sick once a year.... So she has lots of Tylenol and Ibuprofen, and naps, and movies. To be honest the worst part was not being able to go to the gym for 3 days... Haha, that sounds retarted, but it's pretty much all we do here! =) Wednesday morning she was feeling better, so she went to her last 'itty-bitty sports' class! She has had so much fun, and loved her teacher, Kelly- who also works ...
