dakota zoo

 Saturday was St. Patricks Day! We decided that because it was 75 degrees we should head down to Bismarck to go to the zoo! Minot does have a zoo, but because of the flood it hasn't reopened yet. We're crossing our fingers that it will reopen this summer sometime! Lucy had a blast with Grandma Bonnie and we just loved being outside!

We saw wolves, a fox, otters, reindeer, and a big tiger, but I think Lucy's favorite were the bear cubs! There were 4 Grizzly bear cubs that were all playing together so cute! It was awesome.



 Right at the entrance they had the cutest little baby goats and miniature horses and donkeys. Lucy LOVED them!

Lucy has been obsessed with holding Clara's hand lately! She insisted on holding it the whole way home. These two girls are pretty dang cute! 

Clara also figured out how to play peek-a-boo all by herself with her blanky! It's so cute! She lifts her blanky up all by herself and everything. She is such a cutie! 
She doesn't do it until like 30 seconds into the video because Lucy stole her blanky... shocking really! Haha.

    What cute girls! I watched the peek-a-boo video with my 14 month old and he laughed every time he heard your cute girls laugh, so fun!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
