hello!
it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Rex is a year and a half of craziness. He is so sweet, all over the place, and such a cute kid. He has his mama wrapped around his little chubby sticky finger! Tyler is the most incredible father, the world's best husband, and kitchen cleaner extraordinaire! I lucked out with this guy. Handsome and productive! (wink wink!) He has an incredible job up here, and is so close to home that he's home for lunch each day. I am here. home. busy. bored. exhausted. laughing. mothering. figuring it all out! I teach yoga and absolutely LOVE it. I have been teacher for two and a half years, but recently finished my second 'official' training. 200hr RYT feels good to have checked off my bucket list. speaking of bucket list, we have such a TRAVEL bug! we have always loved going somewhere knew and taking trips, but it has been exaggerated this year. We have really put travel and adventure at the top of our priority list and it has been amazing. In the past year we were able to go on an incredible Caribbean cruise with the Crosland crew, a few too many Utah trips (haha), and I finally got to go to Europe this Spring with Tyler and some of our best friends- Jaymie and Mark Noel. I will definitely get around to sharing more about that trip, but holy cow. It was so amazing. 10 days was not nearly enough! We were able to visit Italy and Paris, and instead of curbing my appetite, it only left me wanting more. It is so hard to find that balance. Time off of work, saving for a house? buying new clothes? furniture? or Travel? It's all SO hard! Tyler does not have that much time off of work, but he also has an incredible boss and we have made it work. Hopefully down the road more time off will open up to us and travel can become more of a maybe... full time thing? We shall see. If only we were web developers or professional photographers right!? But then again, why not? ;-) Life is such an incredible adventure. We're just happy to be living it together. We will just have to wait and see what adventures life will take us on next. For now we have Newport Beach and Disneyland to look forward to!
We both had our parents and one of our sisters come up for Lucy's baptism in February. She was able to be baptized ON her eighth birthday. Such a special day!
