Blessing baby Rex and meeting his namesake!


We blessed sweetest baby Rex on January 3rd, 2016.  We decided to do it while we were in Utah, so we could have all of our family there! He was blessed in Tyler's parents ward in the same outfit Tyler was blessed in. Rex was so so sweet and good through his whole blessing, and Tyler did a beautiful job. He's a pretty sweet and amazing baby boy!
Unfortunately I only got about 3 pictures of sweet baby boy until he totally exploded and pooped all over himself! Haha. At least we made it through the blessing. And since his outfit was a bit chilly for January, we had a back up!
 glad we could see the Gephart's and have them there! we miss all of our ND friends that are seriously dropping like flies!

It was such a nice day! Cute Blakey and Lucy serenaded us that afternoon with their violin, piano playing and singing!
Later that night we were able to drive down to Salt Lake for baby Rex to meet his namesake- Tyler's great Uncle Rex Crosland. Tyler has always looked up to him, and Rex is the sweetest. He was so so cute and just kept saying, "I can't believe there's another Rex Crosland!" His vision is mainly gone now, but I'm so glad we were able to see him and get these photos.

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
