January/February 2016
Considering it's now June- I'm only a little behind! Hah!
This is going to literally be a photo dump. Mainly of baby Rex. Because let's be honest- he was the highlight of the winter! ;-)
Looking back on January/February and all of these pictures I immediately think of cold days, home snuggling with my baby! My favorite moments were snuggling, napping, nursing, and just being HOME with my sweet baby and girls. The other part of the reality of January/February, was back to reality. I got back from almost 3 weeks in Utah having tons of help, to getting thrown back into driving the girls to school, ballet, ice skating, gymnastics, piano, etc... I definitely had the most 'postpartum' after this baby too. It was just a long few months. Rex is/was SUCH a good baby. He slept great, ate great, etc... and I never had any negative feelings towards him at all, but just little things like having to stay up late to feed Rex when Tyler had to go to bed early, to be up at 6am to work for 12 hours each day... But it just seemed so lonely all. the. time. I know that's not the reality, but there was just a lot of anxiety about everything, and just feeling totally and completely overwhelmed. I probably hit a breaking point right before I was going to get my IUD put back in. I don't know why, but I was dreading this! I knew I wanted it, I loved having it in, etc... But I was having so much anxiety about it actually getting put in (I hate doctor's offices, etc...) Anyway. I feel like after that was over with- it went fine- Tyler was on his way to work about 20 minutes into his 1.5 hour long drive, when I finally called him bawling to come home and give me a blessing before my doctors appointment. He was so cute- came straight home, didn't ask too many questions, and gave me a blessing that was so needed. Yoga also helped a lot! I went religiously every Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday, and started teaching again Tuesday nights in February. It was just good to have something to do for me, and to just relax and move and breathe. I honestly have nothing but good feelings looking through these pictures. It was just hard to find the balance of wanting to go and do, but not over-doing. The story of my life.
And I apologize for the over-sharing. But I sincerely have a terrible memory, especially when it comes to negative things/memories, and I want to remember this. The good, the bad, and the ugly!
Baby Rex is a dream boat. He is so adored. He was the world's best chubby baby! Clara did an excellent job babysitting him every morning while I walked Lucy across the street to school, and waited on him hand and foot!
The girls started ice skating and LOVED it! So fun to do something new. I sure love those two!
Tyler is still the world's best dad. These kids are pretty dang lucky to have him!
We really had a mild winter. I still have the greatest friends. And did I mention how cute my baby is? I'd do it all over again just to snuggle that cutest chubby baby all winter in my lazy-boy! Good work sweet Rexy!
Can't. get. enough. of. the. chins.
Sneak peek of his nursery.
I love it when the trees freeze! So gorgeous.
Lots of time spent at the Ice rink this winter!
3rd baby nursing. He's my best yet. Late night Target shopping nursing break. You do what you gotta do.
Clara's pre-school art show! We love Miss Jess!
How many mornings were spent. Love, love, love.
2 months flew by with little Rex!
He's perfect.
Lots of baby snuggles. And a Raspberry/Vanilla Frappaccino. Well done Starbucks. Well done.
eating those cheeks. all. day. long.
The best chubby waking up face ever!
So thankful for good friends! Heather and Jenny drove Clara to and from preschool a million times, and Jaymie picked Lucy up for breakfast at the school almost twice a week every week! Love these two friends walking to school together!
Lucy finished her first chapter book 100% on her own! She read a few last year, but this was her first with no help at all.
Moving up a level in ice-skating! Clara passed off her preschool levels first, so she moved to Basic 2 a week before Lucy and Ruby. It was quite a surprise! Haha!
Happy Valentines Day!
Fun dinner with good friends, and the tri-ward Valentines Dance! So entertaining.
This picture of Clara is the. best. ever.
Super fun sledding day with friends at the Wistisen's house on Presidents Day!
Clara's preschool friends all wrote something nice about her at preschool one day. She was beaming all day! Ryken- her crush (("He's in love with me mom. I'm going to marry him, okay?')) said, "She's my best girl friend" And she was a little excited! Love her.
