Life n' Lucy

So Sorry I suck at blogging lately... Here is what we have been up to...
-making up a competition routine... and thinking cheer non-stop. Its quite pathetic really
-Had 3 long long days of cheer... Mon-Wednesday from 12-9pm.
-cut music for cheer
-went to Brad & Heidi Toone's reception at snowbasin-- beautiful. Great reason to ditch our cute baby with the grandparents and see good friends... oh, and ride the gondola.
--saw cute miss Isabel Smoot! Michelle and Marcus's baby... I forget how dang TINY they are. She has so much hair.. Lucy is jealous. So excited for a friend for Lulu.
-''babysat'' Kyle and Candace while my cute mom survived a backpacking trip with my dad. Go Mom!
--applebees with friends. loved my cheeseburger.
-celebrated Jeff's birthday! (my amazing father in law) Happy Birthday! (sidenote: me and ty suck at birthdays this year. if you didn't get a card or gift... sorry.)
-- had an overly awesome breakfast at granny annie's
-grabbed a shake from artic circle with little candace... and watched her dance at dear ol davis high
-- swam with Tyler and Lucy today and last week at the Lindon City pool! It is the greatest pool ever.. with a lazy river, awesome slide, kiddy pool, hot tub, lap pool, and yes-- a FLOW RIDA. all pools with a squishy bottom so you don't have to worry if your kid slips and falls on their head. It rocks. ($5 off state street in Lindon. Check it out.)
--Tyler's company has been having problems with their phones so enjoying Tyler being home with us!!
--Saw Julie and Julia today. Loved it. Now want to learn to cook.. and eat lots of butter.

Other than that... Lucy is awesome. Started eating rice cereal. Pretty much sits on her own. Talks like a champ. Loves sucking her thumb. Sleeps from 9pm-7am, then again from 7am-10am. Love her. Gets super excited when she sees her mama...cutest thing ever. She is just a doll.


We have the cutest baby ever. Just thought I would let you all know.

    lucy has the best facial expressions ever :) what a crack up! btw you look GORGEOUS in that picture of you and ty on your side bar... what a fun little family.

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) Baby Rex kept getting bigger and bigger! Dad would put Rex in his only football outfit every Saturday to watch the Utes play! Haha. Teaching him young! Rex turned 10 months old in September! Lucy's biggest fan! Lucy has bee doing SO great at soccer! Soccer camp from this summer really helped the girls a ton! She was so aggressive and even scored a few goals! Goooo Lucy! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
