Dear Santa Claus

Dear Santa Claus,

It's me again
reminding you I'm here,
I'm making my list easier
and shorter than last year.

I'd like a stack of comic books,
a dozen apple pies,
a box of chocolate brownies,
and an elephant that flies,

a porpoise for the bathtub
and a dragon for my room,
a robot that does homework
and can also use a broom.

And I'd like a hippopotamus,
a trumpet, and a drum,
I could use a half a dollar
and a million sticks of gum.

Just leave them underneath our tree,
or near our fireplace,
Oh! you probably won't bring them,
but I'm writing... just in case.

I loved these Jack Prelutsky books when I was little.
I feel like this poem describes how I'm feeling sometimes.
me being a little selfish of course.
My poor parents. Im sure my list was longer when I was little.
For some reason I never have a hard time making a Christmas list a million miles long.
Tyler never asks for anything.
I decided I'm not making a list this year.
I really don't 'need' anything.
I love the Holidays.
and honestly. Truly.
Im more excited to just be home and be with family over the holidays more than any gifts!

Life is good.
Michael Buble was on Regis and Kelly this morning. He was so funny.
I'm a new fan-
not that I wasn't before.
It's just that when Cheryl did the Miss Kaysville pageant they played the same Buble song over and over again throughout the WHOLE pageant. It was awful.

So you think you can dance is SO good.
It is by far the best show ever.
pretty much the highlight of my week.
I love jakob, kathryn, noelle, and ellenore.

Here is cute Lucy yesterday.
She's getting a new car seat for Christmas...
Shhh. Don't tell her.

    Ohh car car! Your darling girl! I love this post, and I can't believe how big lucy is getting! We definitly need to get together soon, were leaving in 2 weeks for 2weeks so lets get together before we leave!

    Your little girl is getting so big and is always dressed the cutest! I LOVE having a girl first to doll up everyday! I just cant believe how fast they grow up, but every stage is SOO fun!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) Baby Rex kept getting bigger and bigger! Dad would put Rex in his only football outfit every Saturday to watch the Utes play! Haha. Teaching him young! Rex turned 10 months old in September! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
