first week of summer...

summer so far has been bliss.
as i told tyler today...
i really love my job... but sometimes i forget how nice it would be to NOT have a job.
I kind of like tyler getting home at one everyday and playing all day every day...

memorial day we headed up north. as usual.
my mama had a bbq, we wondered the neighborhood, ate good ribs, and my mom even got lucy her very own chair! Lucy thinks it's pretty cool obviously...


Later we headed up to the Crosland's to hang out with the whole fam- literally it pretty much is every time we are there because amy and luke are living there right now while they are waiting to move into their house... i'm sure they don't 'like it, but we like having them there! Lucy loves to follow around blake, and try to steal her toys... and hold hands...

This is how i frequently find Lucy.... 
she did the 'Stand up Tall', and even 'Bend down Small'.... the problem is she can't quite 'Roll like a ball'. She just sits there on her head waiting for someone to come push her over...

Tuesday, Cheryl went through the temple!
So we headed up to Kaysville, again.... and did a session with the whole brock family... and coleen of course. it is always great to get to the temple, and eat a good meal afterwards at texas roadhouse!

and our latest hobby includes sitting on grandma and papa's front lawn and playing with the puppies, Lucy usually runs down the hill, points to the tramp, and then says please in sign language... pretty cute!

TODAY... Tyler's uncle Rex was in town, so we met the family in salt lake for lunch at little america!
this might be the cutest picture EVER of blake and lucy... they are BOTH SMILING! Oh Wow... as Lucy would say.

and tomorrow i am going swimming with my jane. and may or may not clean my house... i hope i am at the pool all day! =)
Ps. I tend to blog way more in the summer... because i take way more pictures... because summer is way more fun... i am so excited summer is here... Yesss....

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) Baby Rex kept getting bigger and bigger! Dad would put Rex in his only football outfit every Saturday to watch the Utes play! Haha. Teaching him young! Rex turned 10 months old in September! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
