Independence Day

the 4th of july is the best part of the summer.
and the best holiday- well it's in a tight race with christmas, but i do love summer!

Monday morning I ran the 10k for the 3rd year in a row-- i got almost the exact same time as last year- like 58 minutes, but it was a whole lot easier and i can tell running consistently and training has helped! let's hope that keeps up until october for my marathon! ah!

we had a fabulous breakfast at the crosland's and headed to the infamous kaysville parade!

brock grandkids-- carter, clara, and lucy

cute can-can-- she is the back center-- p.s. how awful to march in brown spandex? i thought i was hot just watching the parade!

after the parade we had the traditional maddox luncheon-- usually held at the park, but we thoroughly enjoyed sitting back on my parents porch enjoying the breeze from the rain!

we finished off the day with a bbq at the crosland home and fireworks at dear old davis high with both of our families

i love living so close to both of our families and we got to sit at the parade and the fireworks with both sets of grandparents. happy 4th of july! yay!
