Happy Birthday Tyler!

My cute husband turned 27 on the 18th! He is officially in his late twenties, and is so old now! Thank goodness I'm still in my early twenties! Thirty is just around the corner for him! Haha. He is such a babe, and I am so lucky to have him!

I took him out on a hot date Tuesday night (our babysitter had young womens on wednesday! =))
I tried to find something fun to go do for his birthday, but mini golf was out as it was raining, there are NO movies out right now, the ice skating rink was used for hockey practice, the downtown shops all close at like 6pm, and it was bowling league night. That pretty much sums up everything there is to do in Minot... SO... we had dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings (We went all out here peeps...), went to the mall where Tyler got some new jeans at American Eagle, and then I was determined that we weren't going home before 9 because we had a babysitter, haha... so we went and clocked the trail where me and some friends run on saturdays, and then went parking. Yep. Only a few miles outside of Minot there are some dirt roads with no houses in site! Haha. Tyler is so funny, and I'm glad he was a good sport on his birthday even with nothing to do! 


Wednesday morning he got his favorite crepes, then we surprised him at his office and took him to lunch! We then had a yummy dinner, and his very favorite-- Yellow cake mix with chocolate frosting!


Lucy was so excited to help dad blow his candles out! She missed one, but was so excited to blow it out again!





Lucy just learned thumbs up, and loves doing it!

Happy Birthday Ty! You are the best husband and father a girl could ask for! I got pretty lucky that I found him! He truly is my best friend, and I love him more than anything!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
