Utah Trip: Part 1


We had such a fun trip to Utah! I have so much to catch up on, but I'll start with our trip!
We rode down with my cute friend Amy and her two kids. She has a big car, so we were all able to fit! We left Thursday afternoon and drove 11 hours that day until we hit West Yellowstone where Tyler's parents have a timeshare and we were able to stay for really cheap in a 2 bedroom suite! Yay! Amy's kids are seriously angels, and mine did really well too. Lucy had her moments. (She is 3. Haha....) But all in all we had a really smooth trip there. We got there Friday afternoon around 2! Yay! We were so excited to get out of the car and see my family!

We went to dinner that night with my parents, and little brother and sister at Cafe Rio.... Yum!! Then headed out to the farm to see the Croslands. My parents came out for a little while to chat, and Lucy was in heaven riding the tractor, playing in the sand, and riding Blake's motorcycle!




We slept at the Crosland's Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. We were able to spread out over 3 bedrooms, and basically overtake their whole house... haha. But we all slept SO good! 
I was able to get up Saturday morning and RUN... yay... we watched conference all day, and I got my hair done in between sessions while Lucy got to play out to the farm with Amy, Blake, and Papa!
During the afternoon session Jeff just reached down and found Tyler's wedding ring that he lost like 3+ years ago in the couch! Crazy! It's so pretty-- too bad Tyler hates wearing any ring! 

Saturday night we were pretty brave-- especially considering the Croslands don't love shopping, haha... but we headed down to city creek with all 4 little girls! It was pretty crazy busy, but Lucy and Blake loved it, and we had such a good dinner at Blue Lemon. Thanks Bonnie!
We headed into Deseret Book where I got to meet Stephanie Nielson and get my book signed- Heaven is Here! I already finished it, and it was amazing!!



We had such a nice relaxing day Sunday having a fabulous breakfast, and dinner at the Crosland's and watched conference together as a family. The girls were so cute playing together- Lucy was SO excited to play with Blakey!

My mom was pretty sick Sunday night, so I took Lucy and my little sister Candace to go to the airport to pick up Cheryl!! Yay! I'm so happy we got to be home together, this trip seriously worked out perfectly! Lucy was having the time of her life in the airport... obviously.



Monday we headed to the aquarium-- we had never been before and Lucy loved it!





Lucy loved playing in the water, but never actually touched a sting-ray. Blake wasn't leaving until she touched one! They are so different and so funny. I love them.

We had so much fun with the Crosland's! Bonnie and Jessi left the next morning for San Diego, so we are so glad we got to spend a few days with them before they left!

    darling, darling, DARLING picture of Clara at the beginning! I also laughed my heart out at that story about the wedding ring...hilarious!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
