Christmas 2015

We had such a great Christmas! It was a whirlwind with having a new baby, but Rex has been and was such a good baby! We started Christmas Eve bright and early with some quick updated Brock Family pics and Breakfast and Granny Annie's!

We had a low-key day, ran over to Grandma Bonnie's to help with sugar cookies, and headed back to Grandma Carrie's for a big yummy dinner, and Christmas Eve nativity, pj's, and pre christmas party!
Rexy was one month old on Christmas Eve!
 Every year my Aunt Cindy joins us and brings the most random/hilarious gifts. She is an avid HSN and QVC Shopper and then we get to all claim and fights over items. My dad got a stellar pair of Virtual glasses. I've gotten some super nice sheets, a down comforter, awesome kitchen gadgets, bags, etc... Best everrrrr.
 Another hit gift was head lamps for the kids from Uncle Shawn!
 
We had a stellar family dance party, and the girls played non stop all week with Candace's boyfriend Derek.

Annual Siblings pic. I love that I'm front and center 4 weeks after having a baby, and after 3 of my other siblings all lost a ton of weight... Hahaha. Nice!

 Then Santa came! Yay!



 We had fun morning with my family! The girls both got American Girl dolls from Grandma Carrie, a doll ice skating outfit and skiing outfit from us, and Rollerblades and Heeleys from Santa!
They both wanted dolls that looked like them- Lucy chose Rebecca, and Clara chose Kit!

We ran over to the Crosland's for the best part of Christmas! Christmas morning scones! Blake and Callie both got American Girl Dolls too, so the girls had so much fun together.
We love having our families so close! These girls love their grandparents!

The girls got lots more doll clothes from Grandma Bonnie, and both now have more American Girls stuff than I ever did in my whole childhood. Haha! They got the cheer, soccer, dance, and tennis outfit!

All the girls got together to give Bonnie the American Girl Doll- Kaya. She'll go perfect in her cowboy room!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
