Christmas Break in Utah


Rexy survived his first plane ride! We left early early Monday morning the 21st. Like our flight left at 5am. UGH! Luckily we're only 2 minutes from the airport, but it was still earrrllllyyyy! Grandma Bonnie was still in Minot, so actually her and Tyler got to be on the flights with me! I can't remember the last time I had adults on board to help with the kids. So nice to only have to worry about Rexy. We made it to Utah safe and sound. Rex was pretty congested and getting a bad cold, so we headed over to instacare just to make sure it wasn't RSV right before Christmas! He was fine, they just stuck a tube up his nose and cleaned him out nice and good! Such a relief! That night we headed down to Orem to enjoy the Bradford family Christmas party. We were all exhausted, but still had a good time!

We had a much more low key Holiday break! Lots of naps and snuggles! Rexy did so well on the trip and still slept like a champion!

My niece, Blake, made these cute Reindeer 'Clarice' ears for Clara and she wore them for about a week straight. Cutest reindeer ever!

 New Years Eve we got together with some of our good friends at my parents house. So fun to see everyone! The kids all got along so well too. We all went to dinner at Red Robin, and survived! Then headed back to my mom's and let the kids play and watched a movie while we all played games and hung out. We made it until 11pm! Good work.

We finally made it to Temple Square with Grandma Bonnie and Papa Jeff the last night the lights were on! So much warmer, and no crowds! Perfect!

The girls finally made it to a kids yoga class and had so much fun! I wish we had one here!

Rex did so well! So proud of this sweet baby boy! Only a month old and did so great. Sweetest baby ever!
The flight home was a big more hectic with the kids all by myself, but the kids all did great! I'm sure it will be the first of many flights to come!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
