the last day of a golden summer...

can you believe summer is OVER? 
it's slightly depressing. 
i love autumn more than anything- just stay warm enough for us to play outside and we'll be just fine.
my cheerios had their first game on friday!
it's so fun to see them get all excited and nervous- there is nothing better than high school football- well at least for the first few games until i get sick of going to their games! =)
and they won... a blowout isn't a bad way to start the season!

cute tyler and our biggest fan lucy- and her blocks. for some reason she wouldn't part with them on friday. she is rather attached all of the sudden...

first game of the year...

saturday i drove up to kaysville to teach the jr high cheerleaders there Whole competition routine. from 9am-2pm... yay. but we finished!

and... needless to say... Jessi is not short.

saturday night we went to the davis county fair with bonnie and jeff! they treated us to a hot dog, a navajo taco, and of course some corn for Lucy!




Lucy was in heaven at the petting zoo! I don't have pics, but she LOVED the turkey!



later we headed up Mueller Park Canyon for a Fire with some friends.

as you can see, tyler was really helpful in building the fire. Way to go Porter!

My parents went out of town Saturday night so we slept up there, and had Sunday dinner at the Brock's.
Look how big Carter is getting! He is so cute!
and their new house will be done in like a month- crazy! It will be so nice!


i can't believe school starts on wednesday.... ugh.

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) Baby Rex kept getting bigger and bigger! Dad would put Rex in his only football outfit every Saturday to watch the Utes play! Haha. Teaching him young! Rex turned 10 months old in September! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
