an update on miss jane.

How cute is she? Seriously?
she is becoming the biggest cheese in every picture- and how cute are those pig tails?
i'm one proud mama.

So I haven't updated on her for a while.
lucy jane is now a little over 17 months old.
she has quite the personality. and is quite the show off.
she loves to be the center of attention- shocker I know.
talks perfectly- in her own language.
will tell you off when she is mad.
loves to show you her 'chompers'
she mainly says "Hi" and "Bye" to anyone and everyone she sees.
gets quite sad when they don't say hi back...
runs with her arms in her armpits- ya she is a nerd. and trips all the time. but so tough.
she still takes two naps a day- one at 11am for a couple hours, and the other around 4:30/5 for a couple hours. she really likes her sleep.
she still has her warm baba at night- but sleeps with her sippy cup during the day- i'm kind of hoping to get rid of the bottle by 18 months- but she just drink a lot of milk otherwise. So i'm not sure what to do.. anyone?
she is madly in love with her binky and blanky- but gives them to mama when she wakes up. I love having them for church and when she gets super sad though.
She has started getting up earlier- tear. Usually around 7:30ish now- but lays in bed with us or watches her disney movies.
she understands perfectly, loves to play outside, and is in tears every time we have to leave the park!
i think she has like 12 teeth- 4 front top, 4 front bottom, then two molars on each side
she is a size 4 shoe, but her feet have been growing a ton this past month. she has the cutest little chubby feet!
she is still a size 18 mo, and hasn't really grown a ton in height or weight this summer- or so it seems. i guess we'll see at her doctor's appointment in a couple weeks.
she loves easy mac, string cheese, orange juice, and pb & j's. oh- and pirates booty of course.
and last but not least- she is a daddy's girl through and through.
me and jane have so much fun together- then dad comes home, and I'm out the window. poor guy can't get any work done anymore- she just loves her dad more than anything.
and... i hate to say it... but we need more friends! she is the most social little girl i have ever seen- and has really no good friends down here. we need to find some- including me. so if you are in the utah county area and like to swim, shop, eat, etc... and hang out with 18 mo old little girls- and have one of your own. give me a call- lucy needs a buddy! she is a sweet little girl, and is such a good sharer, because she sincerely just wants to play with the other kids so bad. she is always so envious of little kids that are playing together!
we love miss lulu, and can't get enough of her chubby cuteness!

tonight we got together with our good friends ben and cat and their 3 kids for dinner at the park! the kids went crazy, and lucy was in heaven! they are Oh so cute. =)

    Thanks for sending me the blog. So cute! I love Lucy's thighs in the first picture. I wish chubby thighs were still cute at my age...sigh. I know how you can meet more kids, start going to the Lakeridge Ward!!

    Wish I was sticking around :) Lucy and Ella would get along great!

    And we transitioned Ella from a bottle to a NUK learner cup at night (technically a sippy cup, but more like a bottle), and then eventually she just liked her sippy cup all the time. You can find them at Target:

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
