H.P., Time Out for Women, Etc...

i have some serious catch up.
and i need to be SO much better at taking pictures- seriously fail lately!
i am more motivated though, because i just got my 'blog book' done from 2009 and i absolutely love it! it turned out so dang cute- so i need to stay up to date on bloggin'.

BUT... first things first.
Harry Potter 7.
Seriously, Tyler and I are the biggest fans ever!
It's probably like the #1 thing we have in common... hahaha. But really.
I just finished reading all 7 books again so I could be fully prepared- and we just watched all 6 movies!
awesome.
I don't care what anyone says- the Harry Potter books are the best books ever written. Hands down.
We drove up to K-town Thursday after Ty got off work so we could put Lucy to sleep at grandma Bonnie's. I seriously LOVE reserved seats. We got there like a half hour early, and just waited. We totally could have gotten there at midnight and been just fine--
the movie. Overall- Loved it.
Of course they left out and rushed a few things- but I thought they did a perfect job of sticking to the storyline. I just wish they would come out with like an extended edition on DVD so nothing got left out!
of course- we got home at 3am, and Lucy woke up at 5am. Ty was seriously running on 2 hours of sleep all day friday. I was so so so so tired- you have to understand- I normally get like 9 hours of sleep, and it's more like 11-12 when I'm pregnant. Tyler doesn't like to sleep, and I LOVE it. Lucy and I both got good naps in on Friday so we werent' completely dead, but I still was by the end of the night.

Ok- other great great stuff.
Friday night and Saturday morning I attended 'Time Out For Women' with Ty's mom and sister- Bonnie & Amy.
To be honest- I was SO tired and not too looking forward to sitting all night and day- but it was so so great. I am so glad I went and we heard some wonderful speakers.
The theme of the conference was 'Infinite Hope' and it was such an awesome theme.
My favorite was probably Heidi Swinton who just wrote the biography of President Monson. She just told some wonderful stories about 'Tommy' Monson, and I think I could have listened to her all night!
Saturday my favorite was Mariama Kallon. She is from the war-torn country of Sierra Leone and told an amazing story of her finding the church and overcoming such huge trials.
Sometimes it is so great to just get a slap in the face back to reality to realize how truly blessed we are. I think I can get so caught up in the little things- like wanting to have our own bedroom set, and one day owning a house that I need to remember how blessed our little family is!
I truly couldn't ask for anything more in my life- and am so so grateful for Tyler & Lucy!
I am SO looking forward to Thanksgiving and this Holiday season and just spending time with family and relaxing! So perfect...

and some randoms... So Lucy really needs a haircut. To say she has a mullet is an understatement. Anyway- I got bored this week and tried out some new hairstyles on this cute girl.
Here it is:

not TOO bad right?
Wrong.
Look from the front.
The poor girl doesn't have enough hair on top of her head. It was seriously the joke at my mom's house all night. Haha. Good thing she is cute!

and here is cute jane in the tub. She LOVES the tub. She is getting so 'big' and smart. She thinks she can do everything by herself and now holds the cups by herself and everything!
we love our little troublemaker!

OH- and I am making a quilt for Lucy's future twin bed! It is SO cute! I am really not much of a sewer- and when I say not much I mean that my mom taught me how to sew the pieces together last week, but I'm hoping it will turn out so cute. The fabric is beautiful so I'm excited!

Yay for snow!  Or 'N-ow' as Lucy calls it. Nose, No, and Snow all sound exactly the same in her language. Love it.
Her latest word is 'Owl'.

  1. Harry Potter--also a big fan. Saw the movie for my birthday, and although they had to leave out some things, I thought they did a brilliant job of covering the important stuff without making the movie 10 hours long.

And my cute girl needs a hair cut too and I'm too scared to do it myself. Too wiggly--I'd probably stab her eye out!
