update.
so i just finished my blog book for 2009.
finally!
but it made me realize that i kind of suck at blogging lately.
this is really the only scrapbook i have now of our little family, so i'll give a little update in each of our lives.
baby:
14.5 wks along.
daddy is convinced you are a B-o-y. mommy isn't quite sure what to do with boys. and will be thrilled with either boy or girl. we hopefully find out in 3 weeks! yay!
we like henry/hank for a boy. and honestly can't think of anything else for boy or girl.
i like clara or oliver. tyler likes nothing.
lucy doesn't really understand, but is good at saying, Ba-by.
mommy feels pretty great- other than sleeping 13 hours+ a day, and just feeling kinda gross sometimes, but i know it could be much much worse.
gained about 2-4 lbs i think. (ok- but really i think i just lost all my muscle and got a pot belly.=))
lucy:
still taking gymnastics
loves to sleep in her kitty cat jammies, and meow in the mirror at herself
still the biggest daddy's girl in the whole wide world. i look forward to the day when she tells me she wants to marry her dad. i know it will be soon. haha.
favorite words: car-cer (nephew carter), says no no no no no as fast as she can and pushes whatever she doesn't want away when she is frustrated. she seriously has the BIGGEST personality.
she is SO busy. seriously. this girl could run ALL day long. she has so much energy, and i get told over and over again that she is the most social little girl anyone has ever seen!
still loves dogs, cats, and horses. Aka: woofs, meows, and nays
will repeat almost all words, were learning colors right now- but mainly just speaks a fluent gibberish.
she is so funny. right now she is laying with her feet on one couch, and her head on the other couch and is like balancing her body between them. she still loves her 'boovs' (movies). we have to keep our tv unplugged, or she would watch them all day.
i could go on and on, but really. she is just so funny- she grabs you by the finger, pulls you where you want to go, and will sit down and pat right next to her showing you where she wants you to sit or lay down. our house gets freezing, and she refuses to sleep under covers. she is so funny.
last thing- she has the cutest imagination. the other day she found an empty dots box, and sat there pretending to eat the candy for like 5 minutes, she would take an imaginary dot out of the box, pretend to eat it and say, "Mmmmmm" over and over.
We love miss jane.
carly:
busy with cheer. one of my cute girls fractured her ankle last week doing a round-off- of course right? i swear you always get hurt doing the lamest things. but anyway- so we had to switch everything around- their first competition is dec 4th! and we go to california in march for nationals! yay. I know i say this every year- but this is BY FAR the best year I have had at Orem. I love coaching with Brooke, and I love love my girls. They all work so hard, and have come so far in the last 3 years.
kaysville jr is good. candace is so dang good! it makes it hard to coach them almost, because candace is one of the best and well, i can't put her in the front for everything. she is one of the 'biggest' top girls (a whopping 5' 3", haha....), so she is on the strongest bases, and they by far have the best group. their whole squad is so talented though- it's a bummer davis isn't competing this year- seriously! so sad to see a program fall apart, i hope they do next year because almost all of these girls want to cheer at davis next year.
i have also been coveting cute little kids rooms! i bought the cutest fabric to make lucy's twin bed quilt- she won't be in that bed for another few months, but it's so cute! i want to get some to make the baby's too as soon as i know what i'm having.
life in orem is good- it really is our home this year. I love our apartment, i just so wish we had more friends down here! i love the area, our jobs, school, etc... i just feel like we are the 'old' ones now in our neighborhood. everyone is newly married without kids and working full time- we are all at such different places in our lives. lucy loves nursery, and we're slowly getting to know people in this family ward- but i can't wait to live in a more 'family-friendly' area.
tyler:
busy busy with school! seriously- he gets a 4.0 every term, and deserves it! we love that he is so dedicated. he graduates in april, but will go back to working full time in january for his internship credits for school. we will SO miss having him home all the time!
watches the college football games every week, and is still as business minded as ever. sometimes his ideas are so over my head, but i trust him completely and have no doubt that he will be successful in his career. he loves working, and money. haha- but really- anyone who knows him will attest that tyler has wanted to be rich for as long as he can remember. Now I'm just waiting for it to happen... Haha. Wink Wink. Love you babe!
Life is so good. We are so blessed. We still live in the same apartment we have been in for over 3 years and love it. It has been such a blessing to live so close to everything, and for cheap! =) We're excited to welcome our new baby this spring, and see where life takes us!
