Thanksgiving 2010

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving this year!
Wednesday we headed up to Kaysville and spent the day with the Crosland family!
We had a wonderful meal, and then went and saw 'Tangled'. It was so cute!
Even little Blake and Lucy loved it!




Poor Blake has to endure Lucy's constant following her around, trying to hold her hand, play with her, etc... It is so funny to watch those two play. Lucy adores her cousin Blake!

Thursday we had Thanksgiving at my mom's house!
She had a full house- my cute cousin Jackie Rae was there, the Rasmussen family came over, and my aunt Cindy.

Lucy could seriously play on the piano all day! She does the same thing at Grandma Bonnie's house too!





My belly at almost 17 wks! I seriously cannot believe how big my belly has gotten already- it is going to be ginormous by the time I have this baby!

We got the 'kid' table this year.


Lucy LOVES her cousin Carter. She seriously is like obsessed. She says his name so cute too- 'Car-Cer'. 






Tyler actually held Carter! He isn't a big baby person- but is so cute with little kids I think it's funny.

My dad and Lucy- they seriously play for hours just running as fast as they can around the whole house! Lucy is in heaven whenever we go to one of the grandparents houses! She LOVES her grandparents!

We had quite the array of pies- my mom had me get 5 at Kneaders, then somehow we ended up with 3 more! 

So Cheryl used to do 'tricks' with Candace when she was little- it was hilarious watching them try to do that again- note- Candace is now taller than both me and Cheryl. Geez...
Lucy obviously had to try, she loved standing on Cher. She kept trying to push her back over when they were done so she could stand up on her again- she is getting to be quite bossy.
Meaning- she seriously screams when you tell her no, and is just well- hitting the terrible twos. 
Luckily- she LOVES to be the center of attention, so she had a great time this weekend with all of the extending family just loving her 24/7. Oh geez... She is going to be a troublemaker. 

My mom gave us all our favorite Christmas movies to kick off the Holidays! Yay!

So after a mean game of phase 10, My mom, Me, little buddy, Candace, Jackie, and Kyle & Cheryl all decided to head down to Fashion place mall at about midnight!
I have never done the whole black friday shopping thing- but Gap was having their whole store 50% off, and I had a bunch of Christmas gifts I still wanted to get from there!
The mall was full of creepy people, haha... but I got tons of great deals from Gap, and basically after standing in line with Cheryl and Kyle for 45 minutes to check out we went home! 
I think you can get most of the same deals the next morning if you went before like 10am, but it was fun all the same! Cheryl and Kyle ended up staying up all night to go to Wal-mart and Target, and so did Little Buddy/Kyle. I was way too tired for that- 
Friday we just hung out, and that night Tyler and I stopped back by Fashion Place mall to buy him his shoes he wanted for Christmas! 
I seriously love the Holidays... I'm so excited for Christmas! Yay!

    Car Car you look darling! You don't look huge, you just have a cute little belly, and you totally skipped the chubby tummy look, and went straight to the darling tummy. Not fair!!! Why have we not gotten together? Lets change that.

    You look so stinking cute! I wish I had looked that cute at some point during my pregnancy! Geesh!
    And i seriously love all those pies! We always have a ton of desserts too!
    And Santa and Rudolph movies! Those were my sisters' and my favorite holiday movies too! So awesomel. Has Lucy watched them yet?! Grace loves them too now.
    Anyway, just wanted to way hi. You and your little family are so cute!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
