as of late...

So, I am a loser and have no pictures... what the heck? Life has been a little crazy, Sorry kids!

just a little update on what has been going on lately... after I got home from north dakota we have just been trying to get as much play time in as we can! Lucy has still had playgroup the last couple weeks with her cute friends izzy & macie. She loves, loves, playgroup and has a ball with her two cute friends! We had a relief society activity this last week with Deni from The Biggest Loser-- it was fun to hear from her, and loved that she referred to Diet coke as 'Satan's juice'... hahaha.... Like I didn't already know! It's always good to talk about, and get more motivated to live healthier. I think we do an O.K. job, but we could definitely do better. I hate fast food, so we don't have much of a problem there, but I do love to go out. Cafe rio... yum. Lucy actually LOVES fruit, and we're trying to eat more veggies. As of now, she likes carrots, and anything we can sneak on her fork behind her pasta! She is pretty good though, her favorite food is probably a grilled cheese though. =)

Clara is starting to love food and just this last week has been eating eggs, lots of little pieces of meat, fruit, black beans and tomatoes from mom's cafe rio salad, etc... She is so sweet. However, she is one busy body! It's becoming quite the task to get her dressed! She is the biggest wiggle worm EVER, and is so distracted she won't even drink her bottle. I literally have to pin her down to get her to drink like half of it. It's crazy-- She is so so so busy, and is crawling like a mad woman and trying to pull herself up on everything. I hate it! She still has the brightest eyes, and prettiest biggest smile! She will be 9 months old next week-- Holy cow! She is in 9-12 mo clothes, still wears all of her 9 month clothes though. She is still so rolly, and says 'mamamamamama' ALL DAY LONG. No kidding- it melts my heart though! Amy was asking me today if I thought she was going to be like Lucy, or something to that effect-- I just kept thinking. Clara is so sweet. I never used that word with Lucy- Lucy was cute! Not that Lucy isn't sweet, and Clara isn't cute-- but sweet is just the word that comes to mind with Clara. She is WAY more busy and active than I was hoping, but I think she will be just the sweetest little girl.

Wednesday I met my mom, Co-Co, Mel & Carter for lunch at the bun, and then headed shopping with my two girlies! We haven't had a mommy-daughter shopping trip for a while. I had to run to Macy's to do some exchanges and buy my Mac make-up before we move, and finally bought some lip-stick. Moving up in the world people. Then ran down to Gateway to Banana Republic to use my 40% off coupon-- yep. That's pretty important too. Haha- I randomly ended up buying me some Tom's that were 25% off! Sa-weet. The kids ones- so they were cheap! I keep telling myself it's ok because I'm moving. I'm not sure where that justification is coming from, but no worries, it will be gone in about a week! Haha. I made up for it by making dinner that night-- homemade mac & cheese. Lucy's fav! that deserves 3 gold stars because my hubby is still gone.

Thursday we played at Amy's house with our cousins, and I had a primary training thing that night. They were short on people in the nursery so I ended up in there just chatting with my cute friend Tina. If I haven't mentioned before, I am currently the assistant secretary in the primary presidency- Yep. Assistant. Our primary is that big that we have two secretaries! I love my calling, and will be so sad to leave it when we move!

Friday I spent the morning at the Croslands playing with Grandma Bonnie, and Amy, Blake, and Callie! I had cheer in the afternoon, but we ended up staying there until like 5. I forgot to mention that Amy's husband Luke broke both of his legs skiing this week.. yep. Both. and blew his ACL. If anyone knows Luke you know that this is huge- he is the most active, adventurous person I know! Hopefully things heal well! The girls and I stopped by Marshalls on the way home to do some more christmas exchanges... Lucy this week was uhm, quite the terror. Unless she was being dreadfully cute, she was crying for her DAD... ah, I felt so bad for her, but she was driving me nuts.. I was pretty much on the breaking point friday night.

Saturday I had to wake up at 6am to get ready, drop the kids off, and head down to the south town expo centre to judge another cheer competition! I taught cheer camps for UCA the summer after I graduated high school, and loved loved it.. I continued to work their competitions for a few years until I started coaching at Orem. Now that I am done coaching there I started to judge for them this year. It is definitely long work, but I do love it. I like still being involved with cheer, and I love that I get to do something that I am good at.

In the middle of the competition we got a small break, and I finally checked my phone to see a picture message from Tyler, it said, "Look what you're missing!"... I was expecting to see like a -15 below sign, or his car completely frozen over on North Dakota, but instead it was him snuggling with our two girls! Tyler totally surprised me and came home for the weekend! He was supposed to get in Friday night, and had originally told Amy she wouldn't have to babysit at all, but he missed his connecting flight and had to sleep in Minneapolis, and made it Saturday morning! I was so so happy he came home-- mainly for Lucy! She has been missing her dad SOOO much!

I didn't get done judging until like 5pm, and finally made it home! We went out to dinner that night with my dad, and then just came home and hung out! We had such a lazy weekend it was awesome. Ty was supposed to fly out Sunday afternoon, but because he missed his connecting flight due to plane problems they let him change his flight to Monday afternoon! So happy! Sunday morning we all just hung out and made breakfast, and Lucy seriously didn't leave her dad's side all weekend! We went to sacrament and the girls still both have cold's so we put them down for naps and headed up to the Crosland's. Bonnie was nice enough to put together an impromptu Sunday dinner for the whole fam, and we were so glad we got to see everyone! We stopped by my house to see my parents for a minute too.

I had a dentist appt Monday, so Tyler again just stayed home and snuggled with his girlies! We did a whole lot of nothing over the weekend, and it was so nice just to be together! I don't know how single moms do it, or military wives for that matter. I need my cute hubby! We had to take Tyler to the airport that afternoon, luckily Lucy was pretty tired so she wasn't too upset when Ty had to leave again, we were pretty worried about it. We had a lovely evening up in K-town watching the Bachelor, and we braved the roads and made it home! We really need new tires on our car, and that snow made the roads bad!

Today little Lu had playgroup again, and we got to go over to Amy's so Lucy could play in the snow with Blake! Grandma Carrie also came down and took us to dinner at Kneaders! Yay! Thanks grandma.

I'm slowly staring to organize and clean out my house, but there is still a LONG way to go! I can't believe we really are leaving next weekend! Ah, I try not to think about it or I get so sad. I know it will be a good thing though! Wish us luck!

  1. BUSY girl! I am so proud of you with your positive attitude. I can't imagine trying to move without my husband around. I'm glad your families are close and can help. Good luck with everything!
