Christmas Cookies!

Lucy's Class: Lucy, Ashlyn B., Kylee, Kaydence, Sarah, Lizzy, Bella, Ruby, and Ashlyn

Lucy had her first Ballet performance this weekend! She was seriously the cutest cookie ever! I was such a proud little mama!
Clara was SO excited to be there and loved watching all the dances. She got so excited when she spotted Lucy on stage too. She kept saying, "Ce-Ce!!" She loves her sister!
I couldn't get the video of her dance to go on here! But it's on facebook. She did SUCH a good job! And gave us thumbs up twice... it was awesome.

and this might be my favorite 11 year old girl ever-- miss Ivy.
Tyler and Clara left at intermission-- here is Lucy with her cute dad who got her a flower...
 cute Ashlyn & Lucy....
So i thought this was the weirdest thing ever when I first heard of it, but a few girls at the studio do this routine on skis... yes skis. They perform it at the Scandanavian Host Fest every year, and it's amazing!
and of course... Mr. Rinat! He is awesome.
love these cute little friends! Ruby, Ashlyn, and Lucy
Girls with their favorite dancer Makenna-- she is one of the top girls at the Studio and babysits Ruby all the time. They absolutely love her!
I can't even begin to explain how amazing Mr. Rinat is with these little girls! They adore him, and he is such a great teacher.

So now that I've posted all of these darling pictures... Let me just explain that Lucy was only supposed to perform Saturday night, and we were planning on missing the Sunday performance. To make a long story short, she did amazing at the rehearsals, loved it, etc... and come Saturday night, I went down to check on her before the performance and she... fell apart. To say the least. She was exhausted, tired, whatever... She fell apart. Would not go on stage. If you know me at all, you know I'm a 'compassionate' cryer shall we say? Anyway. I started crying as I was trying to calm her down. It was a complete fiasco. I felt so bad for Lucy, but I was so frustrated! She made it into the audience to sit with Tyler (we had paid a babysitter for Clara...) and I'm pretty sure during her break down she peed her pants, then sat on his lap through the whole first half. She was still falling apart when we figured out she had peed at intermission, so we headed home. =) She crashed...

She woke up the next morning and was normal. Seriously. Anyone who knows Lucy knows she is happy go lucky, center of attention, loving, happy girl. So Saturday night was a bit.... like a flashback to a 2 year old meltdown to be honest. She needs her sleep that girl! She was excited to show her daddy her dance, so we decided to let her perform Sunday since she had SUCH a bad experience the night before. I was worried she would hate dance forever! But, she did awesome! She was so excited, so sweet, and did a great job! I was so proud! I'm so glad I have two little girls! They are so much fun, and I'm sure this was the first of many dance recitals to come! Let's just hope they aren't all on Sundays--- ugh!!
