Baby Emma

One of my dearest friends up here, Jenny, let us come while she delivered baby Emma! Tera was there watching her husband, who is an awesome OB-GYN up here, deliver the baby. She had never seen him deliver a baby. and Jaymie and I were put on the photographer/videographer team. It was such a special day! Here is our before picture!
 Jenny is the sweetest, cutest friend ever. I seriously adore her. Her labor was going awesome, and everything was going awesome. Not long after getting her water broken the nurse came in to check her, and discovered a prolapsed cord. Everything from there was a whirlwind. I ended up stepping out to get out of the way, but Jenny was rushed into an emergency c-section and was wheeled away on her hands and knees with her cute nurse on the bed with her holding up the babies head and holding down the babies cord so oxygen could still flow to baby. It was pretty terrifying to say the least! Her doctor wasn't even at the hospital while all of this was happening, and he was seriously there and ready to deliver baby within like 90 seconds. It was incredible! Just after she was wheeled into the O.R. we had just enough time to all hug, cry, pray, and within two terrifying minutes we heard the LOUDEST cry from just down the hall! Baby Emma was here and was making quite the entrance!
 Here's Jaymie and I and our tear streaked, tears of joy, happy faces! It was seriously SUCH an emotional day! 

Here's cute David, Jenny's hubby, with little Emma! Look at how cute and chubby she is? I'm pretty sure we all broke into tears again at the sight of her! This is their 5th baby, and 4th little girl. Pure sweetness!
I was able to go in and take some photos while baby was getting her check up. Sweetest thing ever!

 Finally Jenny was wheeled out of the OR and was able to see baby Emma on her way into the Recovery room. The sweetest moment. Tears again.

Oh how I love these beautiful women! I am SO glad I got to be there. Little Emma is perfect, and Jenny is the sweetest mom in the world.

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
