Christmas Break
We had such a fabulous Christmas break! The girls and I spent almost 3 weeks in Utah! Tyler was able to be there for about 10 days too. It's always so exhausting and crazy, but it's Christmas. So fun!
Before we left Clara had "her very first performance ever!" She was SO excited. Her little joy-school had their Christmas performance. She was the angel in the nativity and was so cute! She only reminded us like 8 times that it was her very first performance ever!
Also. Our flight left at 6:30am, so naturally the night before I took the girls out late to see the Canadian Pacific Holiday train. It comes from the North Pole and has a fun little band on board! We also drove through the Christmas Lights at Oak Park before getting into bed to be up bright and early!
The girls were SO excited to finally see Grandma Carrie!
I was feeling a little sick before we left, and I could tell Clara was too, but by the time we got to Utah we were both exhausted and definitely sick!
Clara ended up waking up so we could go to lunch, but we were both SO sick for the next 3-4 days. It was rough! But at least we all got over it in time for Christmas.
Saturday Tyler and I had the day to ourselves! We went to a Travel Meeting to get a free vacation... which was a pretty long few hours... haha... but then spent the afternoon Christmas shopping and met up with Tyler's family at Market Street Grill for dinner before heading to see The Forgotten Carols!
We had a pretty lazy Sunday with Lucy now sick too... ugh! Monday night we had a fun Family Night at the Crosland's. Dinner, and the Nativity. They have the cutest grandparents!
I snuck out a little early to get the chance to see some friends! It's like a small miracle as many of us were able to make it that did!
Ashley, Tiff, Emily, Heather, Me, Meg, Haley, and Chelsie.
Tuesday- the 23rd we were able to meet up with Porter and Erika for a quick lunch! We really don't see them nearly enough! So fun to see them and cute baby Von!
Tyler and I then took the girls with the intent to go ice skating, but there was quite the wait, so we settled for doughnuts instead!
Later that night I was able to go with Tyler and all of his friends to see our good friends Jake & Jentrie. Jentrie has been undergoing chemo treatments, and is seriously the brightest light. She's only 25, with 3 little kids and has cancer. It's just crazy. She is seriously incredible, and has been such an inspiration to us. Jake has been one of Tyler's best friends for years, and I was so glad we got to see them, even if it was only for a minute. It was so cute to see all of these guys get together to support one of their friends.
Quin(The photographer), Porter, Brad, Jon, Casey, Drew, Nate, Jen, Jake, and Tyler.
Tyler and I then headed out for a little date night. We had an amazing dinner at The Copper Onion that night! So so good.
Cheryl made it into town late Tuesday night and we had such a fun Christmas Eve and Day! Posts to come.
The 26th we headed out shopping! It was so nice to spend some time with just my mom and Cheryl for a little while.
Saturday we headed down to Provo to see Candace cheer at a basketball game. Lucy seriously loves watching sports, and they had a blast.
We ended the night with J-Dawgs and I ended up meeting Tyler at The Little America for a little getaway before he had to head back to ND! It was sort of hilarious having my parents drop me off in front of the hotel to meet my husband. Hahaha.... Fantastic.
But it was so nice to relax and we had an awesome breakfast the next morning there!
The girls got to go to church with Grandma Carrie andCheryl. Cheryl is always the girls' favorite!
It was so warm when we got to Utah, and we finally got snow on Christmas! We got another big storm Sunday night and the girls had a blast building our late night snowman! For how cold and the snow we have all the time we really never play in the snow here! It's too cold!
Monday was another ski day... post to come...
but Tuesday we met up with Michelle and Emily at Chick fil A for lunch. And how cute are all of these little girls!?
We had such a nice lazy day playing over at Amy's house and went to dinner at McDonalds. Winning!
Wednesday morning we were able to go to the Temple just the Crosland girls! It's always so nice to be able to go to the temple and was the perfect way to end 2014.
We had a pretty fun New Years Eve though! We went with my mom and dad to see Night At The Museum 3, and had a yummy dinner at Settebello's!
We missed Tyler, but I think he maybe was having more fun partying with all of our friends in Minot!
New Years Day I went to an amazing Yoga Chakra Workshop. It was awesome. I started teaching classes as soon as I got back, so I went to as many yoga classes as I could while I was there!
We did Boondocks on Friday with the Crosland gang. These cousins are seriously the cutest. I'm so glad they have each other!
I took Lucy on a mini-date that night to do some returns and let her choose out a dress with my Gap Rewards... haha. She is the best! I love Miss Lu!
Like I said. Lots of Yoga. Lots of skiing.
Sunday Clara started sunbeams! And Grandma Carrie got to sub her class! She's been ready for sunbeams for over a year now! I love my little Clara and her adorable handwriting.
We were able to sneak in some alone time with Grandma Bonnie and Papa Jeff Sunday night. These two love playing games with Grandma Bonnie maybe more than anything!
and more yoga. i do love yoga.
the only reason i want to move back to utah right now is to get my 200hr RYT. But anyway.
Utah was seriously so so much fun, craziness, and exhaustion all wrapped into one trip! We left at 6am Tuesday morning.... early! But we made it back alive, and had a blast. It's always so hard trying to see everyone and do everything, but we had such a fun time!
