Gymnastics Night of Stars, and other Spring Fun!
I sure love these two cutie girls! It's been so fun coaching them both in gymnastics this year! Even though it can be tricky being both the mom and the coach... But, really. I'm so lucky that I get to do what I love, and teach my kids along the way! They had their 'Night of Stars' a couple of weeks ago, and these two girls were so excited to perform!
Clara takes everything very seriously!
Also, I'm sure she yelled at this sweet coach for trying to help her. I can just hear her, "I can do it by myself!"
So proud!
Ah there, we go! By herself!
and the best finish ever! Goooo Lucy!
They had a blast! Way to go cutie girls! And go Tumbling Tots!
Some other random happenings...
Lucy dances with passion. Heart eyes all around!
Lucy finally rode her bike home from school all by herself! So proud of my no training wheels girl!
A little hip hop dancing on a Tuesday night....
Hanging out with my favorite baby- Emma! She's the sweetest ever.
And for Clara's birthday we promised them the circus! I was SO exhausted Tuesday night, her actual birthday after our whole LICE episode... more on that later... Ahhh.. but I talked them into letting me take them Wednesday morning by telling them they could ride the elephant. They were happy happy girls!
So much fun at the circus!
Luckily the week of Clara's birthday and the Lice episode were both during great weather! So during our isolation, we had lots of play time at the parks! Clara learned to cross the monkey bars on her own, and my little monkeys had a blast!
Clara also had her last day of Preschool at MSU! It is seriously the most incredible program. The college students work one on one with the kids, and it has been SO much fun! They have a different play environment set up each week, and it is just incredible. Best $60 I ever spent. Yep! Love it.
Clara and Ethan. They're my favorites!
And the zoo finally reopened for the year! We stopped by opening day to get our membership, and sign up for Zoo camps this summer! These girls love the zoo!
That night was the adult session of stake conference, so we took advantage of cute Ivy and were able to go to it with the Noel's, and then out to dinner afterwards! It was so needed after maybe the longest week EVER!
and putting the girls to bed at 8pm is sort of comical lately... We really need blinds. I can't wait for next month when it's still broad daylight at 10:30pm!
So Lice. I would never ever wish it upon my worst enemy- seriously. Lucy got a not sent home about 2 weeks before this saying it was going around the school, so I had been checking her, and using the tea tree oil shampoo, etc... But then I got another note that a few kids in her class had it, and it was still going around, so sure enough after school I check her again, and I'm pretty sure I find a few eggs/nits in her hair. She only had like 4-5, but I was still freaking out. After talking to the pediatrician Tyler picked up Nix- the over the counter stuff on the way home from work and we got to work on both girls that night! Checking each strand of hair individually, treating them with the treatment, and literally tearing out house apart. We seriously washed EVERYTHING that could possibly be washed, then put it all away, bagged up everything else, vacuumed, scrubbed, sanitized, and put the girls to bed with a blanket... Haha! The only problem was Clara's birthday party was the next day, and we went swimming-- don't worry no one was in my house! But turns out chlorine is a no good with the treatments, so we re-treated their hair that night, and started the process over. Lucy was clean by Saturday night- after 2 days, and Clara looked clean! I was sick all day Saturday and Sunday, and inbetween naps I did more and more and more laundry, vacuumed again, and checked each strand on their long thick hair individually again. That takes about 2 hours alone by the way! Ahhhh! I kept Lucy home from school Monday-Wednesday just to be sure it was still gone, and so that she didn't get it again at school! But Monday I was quickly checking their hair before I had to go coach gymnastics, and found a LIVE one in Clara's hair! AHHHHHH!!!! Worst nightmare. Lucy was still clean, but Clara no apparently had it. So I rechecked/removed Nits from her whole head. Re-washed everything, and headed to coach late... I ended up sick that night, and leaving gymnastics... but that's a story for another time. I spent Monday night sick, still checking hair, and getting ready for Clara's birthday the next morning. Tuesday we finally had our friend call in a prescription for the good stuff just to be sure everything was gone. So instead of heading to the circus for Clara's birthday, we stayed home and treated everyones hair with the prescription stuff, re washed everything, and re checked everyone's hair. It was ridiculous. Lucy was still clean at this point, but I kept her home one more day just to be sure! She finally went back to school Thursday, and her hair has pretty much been up in a bun ever since! I have to keep reminding her that there is no more hugging at school, etc... I'm still just sick she's going to get it again! The girls never even had it bad, or itched, or complained, but just staying on top of it was exhausting to say the least! Also-- no one wants to be anywhere near you, for good reason! Haha! My two best friends each have 4 girls.... soo.... yeah. It was a long long week, but we came out on top! Here it is 2 weeks later, and I still have yet to put my couch covers back on, re-make the girls bed, and put all of their toys back away and out of garbage bags. Ugh! If you ever get it, give me a call. I've got lots of good tips!

Ugh!! I saw a nurse checking some kids by Macey's class...I thought of you:( And to be sick! I can only get easier, right?! ;)
