Viva Las Vegas!

we're back from vegas....
much too short.. but much fun indeed!
3 years of marriage are celebrated this sunday... and we celebrated with a midweek trip to vegas... yes... we are that cheap. =)
We stayed at the golden nugget... which was way way nicer than expected, and enjoyed relaxing by the hot tub each night, laying out at the pool, shopping... you know me, can't go anywhere without shopping... i know i know..., eating good food, and enjoying the sights of vegas...



eating at the cheesecake factory for dinner... apparently it's become somewhat of a tradition to eat there, as we did last year as well, and well we've only been married 3 years... so, and really, i just love their cheesecake.

it seriously is one now... don't take your kids.
even though there were a TON of kids watching it.. a little weird... i think lucy would actually like vegas with all the lights and people, but i don't think i could do it because of all the disgusting SMOKE. 
i didn't even know people still smoked... 
apparently they do.
and apparently i like in a bubble... but thats ok too.

just at our pool one night, check out the sharks by the pool.... and the slide goes through the shark tank. 
cool? Yes. Did i even ride the slide? No.


we loved our trip, and can't wait to get away again soon!
and i promise i will post more pictures of lucy next time.... she was with the grandma's this week!

    That looks so fun Carly, I can't believe you have been married 3 years either, does it make you feel so old and mature? Ps-I love the dress you are wearing in these pictures, where is it from?

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
