12 month check-up!

This week we had little Clara's 12 month check-up. We actually LOVED our pediatrician we went to here, and I am so happy about that! She sat and talked to us for like a half hour, and was so cute with Lucy and Clara. Clara is healthy as a horse, here's her stats:

Weight: 21.8 lbs   50ish%
Length: 29 inches   50ish%
Head: 95%

A little about Clara at this age--
She is still the happiest baby I know with the BIGGEST smile! She is always all smiles, and is so so cute and sweet! She is drinking all whole milk now, and likes all real people food. Unfortunately she wont' really take baby food all that often any more, so I hope she's getting enough food! She's definitely not withering away though!
She loves her sister Lucy, and is her little shadow. She follows her around everywhere, and I'm so glad Lucy is so nice and sweet to her. Those two really do love to play together, and I'm so glad they are close in age! Clara also has her 4 top teeth, and 2 bottom teeth. Her teeth are really spread apart, and Lucy's are really close together! Did I mention she has a huge mouth? Haha..
She still has 2 naps a day, but isn't the best sleeper in the car/on the go. She still says in a good mood when we're on the go all day, but doesn't really sleep unless she is Exhausted! Lucy on the other hand falls asleep the second she is tired and is in the stroller on a walk, at the mall, or in the car!
Her and Lucy look nothing alike, and have really different personalites. She still likes to be included in whatever is going on, but She is a lot calmer and is constantly moving! 
Seriously- she fell out of her high chair yesterday. Mother of the year award goes to me! It scared me to death, but she is ok! She stands up in shopping carts, her high chair, tries to crawl off the bed all the time, etc...
Clara also has never really slept with us since she was like 2 months old. Never! She has also never been to the dr except for her well-child visits. (Knock on wood!!) She is such a good sleeper, and is just so sweet and easy. I am so so lucky to be her mommy!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) Baby Rex kept getting bigger and bigger! Dad would put Rex in his only football outfit every Saturday to watch the Utes play! Haha. Teaching him young! Rex turned 10 months old in September! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
