Grandma Carrie
Grandma Carrie was here! Hip, Hip, Hooray! We have been anxiously awaiting my mom coming to see us for a whole week! Yay! Last time she was here it was only for a few days, and it was way too short! There may not be much to do here in Minot, but we were still so happy to have Grandma here!
We picked up my mom at the airport and headed straight for Lucy's 2nd Ballet lesson (pics to come... She LOVES it!) We loved watching Lucy with her cute teacher- Mr. Rinat, and then headed home to make dinner, watch SYTYCD, and make caramel popcorn... of course!
Wednesday morning my mom came to Spin with me, and then we decided to head down to Bismarck... (When in Rome, right? Haha...) We were originally thinking of going to the zoo, but I'll be in Utah in a couple weeks and I'd rather do that there, so instead we ate at 5 guys, and did some shopping at TJ Maxx and found some awesome deals. That TJ's is awesome I tell ya. So my mom flew to North Dakota to eat at 5 guys and shop at TJ Maxx.... awesome right? Haha... We let the girls play at the park for a while, drove past the temple, and stopped by Sams Club to get a few things.
Isn't my mom so cute?
I love these little girls.
Thursday morning we took Lucy to preschool, went to Yoga, and got ready for our trip! We picked up Lucy from preschool and headed to the airport! My mom had the girls Thursday afternoon-Sunday afternoon. She is amazing! She took them to the park, McDonalds, Target, Hobby Lobby, the mall, Walmart, etc... pretty much everything there is to do in Minot!
Sunday we had a nice lazy day, Monday we headed to spin again, went home and got ready, and did some random shopping for some plate hooks, spray paint, etc...
Here's the girls sharing the single stroller- i love it when they do this, Lucy has to sit with her arm around Clara and it's so funny to me. I love these little girls!
Dancing on the 'stage' at Barnes and Noble... Clara is VERY into twirling! She seriously just turns and turns and turns until the falls down, then gets up and starts all over! She is a riot these days!
My mom is awesome and helped me switch around and hang a bunch of things on my walls, etc... This would have taken months if it were Tyler helping me... Bless him. =) I finally hung my plate wall, Thanks to cute Michelle who's wall I totally copied and who got me my first plate!
Tuesday before she left I was supposed to do my 19 mile run... I made it to mile 10 until my I.T. band starting KILLING. It hasn't hurt me one time this whole year, and I seriously couldn't move. Ugh! What can you do? It was the most beautiful autumn morning though! It's been like 60 and sunny the last few days-- this weather makes me so happy! Now here's to hoping my stupid knee will be better for the marathon in 2 weeks! Lots of Ice & Aleve!
Tuesday afternoon we went to this DARLING pumpkin patch I saw while out running that morning, we were so lucky that it opened that day! (Post to come...) and then we head to drop her back off at the airport! Good thing we get to see her in a couple weeks, because Lucy and Clara were not happy when she had to leave. Especially Clara- She has become rather attached these past few months! Lucy was so sad too and just kept saying, "Grandma, I miss you so much!"
Thanks so much for coming mom! Lucy was so funny and as soon as Grandma Carrie left she asked, "Are we going to Grandma Bonnie's tomorrow?"
Haha... Out with the old, in with the new! She sure loves her Grandmas! Good thing we get to see Grandma Bonnie next week at Mt. Rushmore! Yay!

Aren't Moms the BEST? Glad you were able to spend a few days with yours in your side of town!
ReplyDeleteLove the plate wall..I never would have thought of something so creative as that!
