As of late... Friends, Gym, Snow, and the Super Bowl!

 To say that I am glad January is over is a HUGE understatement. Haha...
It was a really COLD month.
But alas, we have survived, and are looking forward to better (and warmer) things!

A few of the fun things that did happen in January: Celeste's baby shower!
I am a super awesome friend who threw the laziest baby shower known to man-kind: Texted everyone, and went to dinner at the Olive Garden! But at least Celeste got lots of wonderful gifts and we all had such a good time! It's always fun to have a night out! Is she not the cutest pregnant girl EVER? It's ridiculous.

 Our good friends the Woodwards are moving, so we had a final play date with Ashlyn before she left!

We truly have the greatest friends here!
 Lucy started Ballet again, and also started Gymnastics! We try to keep ourselves busy because it is literally FREEZING cold and you cannot go outside! She's taking with her cute friends Ruby & JuJu.
 She was so excited to choose out her own leotard! I finally had to cave and buy one because hers was a little TOO tight-- she was in tears after the first week and was practically cutting off her circulation! She absolutely loves her 'boy-teacher' as she calls him, and has so much fun just running around! She is working hard on her cartwheel- mainly in our living room, and I'm pretty sure she is learning nothing at the actual gym- but she's having fun and getting some energy out!
 Last week it made it above 20 and the sun was nearly shining so we skipped Clara's nap and put their snow clothes on and headed to the park! This is the first time we have played in the snow in North Dakota! Crazy huh? The girls had a blast. I wish we could do it more often! The only reason I would like a house is for a yard, but for now the park works great!

Tonight we had a little Super-bowl get together over at our place! Just some appetizers, treats, and good friends. We had the Noel's, Barlow's, and Jacob's over. So fun! Our kids all went crazy, the men had a good time watching the game and talking guns, and we loved eating and checking out Beyonce! 
and again-- cute Jaymie and Celeste are both 9 months pregnant too! Can't wait for some little babies to hold!

Such a good night, and SO much food! Did I mention we are so grateful for good friends here? We are pretty dang lucky!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
