Lucy's Lovely 4th Birthday Party!

I can't believe my baby is almost 4! We decided to have Lucy's birthday party early this year so we could do a fun Valentines theme, so we had it on February 13th!
We kept it a little smaller than last year and just had a few of her closest friends come over that she plays with all the time! They had a little lunch of heart sandwiches, strawberries, chocolate milk, and of course gogurts and string cheese. The girls then decorated Sugar cookies, played in Lucy's room, ate LOTS of candy, opened presents, ate cake, played duck, duck, goose, and played some more! She has the cutest friends here. There are SO many girls her age and just a year older, it's amazing! Lucy is so sweet and loves to be friends with Everyone! That is truly her greatest quality. She is so excited about life, and is always the 'life of the party'! Happy early Birthday cute girl!

 For party favors we had little mailboxes full of goodies for the girls to take home!
 Clara wasn't feeling the greatest, so Tyler took an early lunch to come home and keep her entertained back in our room then put her down for a nap! Super dad! I would have been lost without him! and Lucy was so excited to have her dad at her party!
 I'm officially the worst froster in the world, but Betty Crocker always pulls through for me, and the cake tasted great!
The girls were all SO excited to give Lucy their gifts! Did I mention she has the cutest friends ever? She's a lucky little lady!
 The party guests: Abby, Ruby, Kaydence, Lucy, Emma, Alize- & Julia, and Skye! She also invited her cute friend Reagan from school who wasn't able to make it.
 Why does duck, duck, goose never seem to get old? Lucy LOVES it!
 Lucy's cute friend Skye-- they are inseperable! They're not in our ward anymore sadly, but we still see Skye a LOT! They are in the same pre-school class, did Ballet together in the fall, we do the babysitting co-op with their family, and of course LOTS of play dates! We love Skye!
 The girls had a great time! We can't wait for her actual Birthday next week-- especially because Grandma Carrie will be here! Yay!

And thanks to my cute friend Jaymie for letting me steal all of her Valentines Decor! Yes! The rest is all Target or Hobby Lobby.... thank goodness we have those stores! And that Gap has free returns! ;-)

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
