North Dakota State Fair 2013

I know ya'll have been waiting on this since the epic Fair run from last year... See it HERE... are there 6 posts last year? Maybe. I'm cramming it all into one this year! We didn't go as much as we did last year, but we still had a goooood time.
Friday night was one of the main headliners... Tim McGraw! Who I have to say is one of my all time favorites! He was awesome, but maybe it was because of the rain or something, didn't have his full stage set up, there was no big screen- so us grannies sitting up in the stands couldn't see him very well, and he sang a little too much of his new stuff for my liking... but still. It's Tim. It's a Fair. We had a babysitter... it was a great night!
Oh and this girl in front of us was maybe texting a boy the ENTIRE show... we may or may not have been reading her texts. Highly entertaining.
The next morning I got up and ran 13 miles with Jaymie, and then made our way back to our house, finishing through the parade route, which was pretty funny... haha... and walked down her street to watch the Parade! Penny candy heaven, early and cool, and Josh Duhamel? Minot's own sweetheart. What could be better?
Don't we look awesome? Free sunglasses too.
Tyler's has taken Lucy on a few dates, so he decided it was time to take Clara... she was SO excited. The totally went to Wal Mart, then Burger King for a 50 cent cone, but Boy oh Boy, you would have thought they were going to a Mickey Mouse concert by how excited she was! Haha. She just kept saying, "I go on a date!" I sure love my little Clara!
Lucy and I stayed home and played Candyland like 7 times. Then she played like 15 more times by herself.... that girl...
My parents and Candace sent me dreamy pictures of their Palmyra/NY,NY trip... who wants to go there anyway?
We had a killer garage BBQ....
We attempted french braiding and for the first time wore it in Public... Cute cute girls...
Had a fun afternoon with the girls seeing all the animals at the Fair....
Have you noticed yet that we have been in pants and jackets in the last how many pictures? That's because it was 65-70 degrees with a nice breeze... the last week of July.
Sonic opened in Minot! So we had to go.. naturally...
Lucy went to time out... and crashed on her floor about 2 seconds later...
Headed to the Bull Riding Championships at the Fair with the Noels, and Levi & Lindsay one night...
Lucy decided to pee on the ground before getting in our car to get home, but instead just peed all over he pants. So she rode home commando... and ran up the stairs to our apartment to top it all off. I sure love that cute bum!
went again to the fair Tuesday night to catch some shows... The stunt dog show...
 and the magic show...
and with our Grandstand passes we had tickets to go watch the Stock Car Races- the kids loved them! But we almost went deaf!
and yes, I ate that whole funnel cake by myself...
Pioneer Day, the 24th, our Ward had a fun party... I made an awesome coconut lime cheesecake, and Tyler took Lu to the Sawyer Brown concert afterwards! Of course Clara and I went on our date to Target and Barnes & Noble. You just can't go wrong...
We had cute Emma and her little brother Ethan at our house all day while their mom had her baby- yay! And even after ALL day together these two still had a blast together. Emma is just the cutest. Lucy and her are only like 10 days apart, and I can't get over how much taller Lucy is! Emma is so cute and tiny! Here they are with their cute friend Allison.
They played some pioneer games and the girls were SO excited... even though they weren't the quickest to catch on. Haha!
We had one more final Fair hurrah on Thursday where we got our free lunch, saw the Pig Races and finally caught the Tiger show!
and I love this photobomber.... classic.
Friday we ended up back at the zoo with some friends, before finishing off the fair with....
Toby Keith! Now I wouldn't even say I'm a Toby fan, but he was SO good in concert. and I seriously knew every single song he sang! He was SO funny, his band was amazing, and he was just awesome. He totally kicked Tim's butt in the concert thing this year.
a Pineapple whip, some mini doughnuts, and some Red Solo cup.... Perfect way to end the fair! I love feeling country in North Dakota. It just feels right- you're just too out of place when you try and be all 'city like'. Haha... But really. Country music is better here. Done and done.
