Lucy's Firsts: Pre-School, Ballet, and Soccer

Another school year has started! Lucy is going to Pre-School at the same place as last year, but just jumped from two mornings a week to three! She is also in the same class as 3 of her best friends, not to mention a bunch of other friends from last year, and then some! I bet Jess has her hands full! Haha. Lucy LOVES going to school, and more than anything else, that's all I care about. I love that she is SO excited to see her teacher and friends each day. She comes home singing fun new songs, showing off lots of new art projects, and is happy! 
 I accidentally left my good camera at home, so these pictures aren't the best quality, but at least I had my phone! She wanted to wear this skirt SO bad on the first day! Thanks Grandma Carrie! ;-)
She also has the same backpack from last year, and I think she wore these shoes on the first day last year! Thank goodness things are starting to work for 2 years now- kids grow WAY too fast!
 Clara was a little bummed she didn't get to go to school too, but it has actually been SO nice having some one-on-one time with her. She loves having all of the attention, and I have really loved having time with my big baby! Now if only I could do that with Lucy too!

 Lucy was SO excited to have Ruby start school this year with her, and it was her birthday on the first day!

 After school Lucy started up Ballet again! She is now in pre-ballet 2! She's in the same class as Ruby again, and Julia joined this year, and we moved up to Eva's class! We love Mr. Rinat, and Lu is excited to be back!
 Ruby had her birthday party the next day at Splashdown! They got their water heater fixed so it was SO fun! It's always completely empty, and the kids have a blast on the water slides! Ruby got a mermaid tail- Lucy has been begging for one, and it was the hit of the party! It looks like someone might need to ask Santa for Christmas!
 Day 2 of school: She's been quite the poser lately! I wonder where she gets it? Haha...
I seriously love Lu's little friends. 

The night before school started Lucy started soccer! She has been SO excited to play! She is on the same team as her friends Eva and Alize, and Alize's dad is her coach! She has SO much fun at her first game, and even scored two goals! She is a fast runner and loves to stay right by the ball! We just need to work on some team work, and drills! Haha. We're so proud of you Lu!

 It was a big first week back to 'real life' but it's been SO good. The Fall is absolutely gorgeous here. It's been 65-70 degrees, we've been seeing our friends regularly again, and it's good to stay busy! I've been busy running with some friends and have only a little under 2 weeks until the marathon! Ah! I'm so excited to go see our family. It does seem like we were just there, but it really has been about 2 months already! And I'm crossing my fingers Amy has her baby while we're there! She must!! We need to live up this pre-school thing while we can, I'm in denial that Lucy will be in Kindergarten next year! Ahh!
So much to update- hoping to be back to regular blogging soon!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
