you've had a birthday shout hooray! a haircut... and other end of summer shananigans.

We flew home Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning we headed out to my friend Betsy's house! Reagan is Lucy's little friend from preschool and we have been meaning to get together for ages- They live about 40 mins Northwest of town on like 12 acres, and its just gorgeous! It's always a little hard to leave family and come back here, but this day was just what I needed to remind me how much we truly do love living here, even if it can be hard sometimes.
The kids had a blast swimming and playing all afternoon! Childhood is rough! Haha
Later that night I took Lucy to her back to school night and to Target to get a few back to school things- she is the cutest and always insists on holding my hand when it's just me and her! I guess she misses out a lot because usually I'm wrangling Clara! Love her!
the time had come! Little Miss Clara Mae finally got her first hair cut! Thanks to my dear friend Angie- she is such a kid now! Tear. She has the cutest little bob with all of her curly hair.
I could eat you up I love you so!!
Following the haircut we spent the day at the Splash Pad with some friends-- (sidenote: They closed the pools here August 11th. Yep. August 11th. Do you want to know the temp in July? An average of 70 degrees. And in August? 90's. I tried not to swear every time I left my house to go out and play and the weather was scorching with no Pool! What the heck!?!)
anyway. A haircut. Those girls. My favorite 'kini. She couldn't be cuter if she tried, I tell ya!
as a welcome back to real life I took more yoga selfies: ya'll know I know I look like an idiot right? It's ok. I've embraced it. Yoga-on! One and all!
Ran a half with one of my besties Jenny- and cute Shauna and Aimee ran too!
 played with these crazies...
 and these...
Clara's starting to lose some of her chub and it makes me want to cry....
One played while the other crashed-- we had like a 12 hr Flu- Or Lucy did anyway!
I love sleeping babies more than anything! I think Clara will always just be my baby. Is 2 and a half too old to be my baby? Lucy still calls her her baby too.

and yes, I am now the ripe old age of 25. We had a little Birthday dinner with some of my girly friends at the Brewery. It's rather nice eating at the bar- you're not the last ones there! Haha!
I sure love these girls- seriously. They make Minot the best place to be- and that's saying something!
Tyler took me out Friday night for a hot hot date- Olive Garden and all! Oh Minot- you just have so much to offer! Haha. I love this man more than life itself!

Saturday morning I woke up and ran to this brilliant sky!
Grabbed a fabulous donut with Tyler and Clara Mae while Lucy played at a birthday par-tay!
That night one of Tyler's worker girls- his office manager, anywho. She got married! In a teeny tiny town about an hour and a half away from here, so we made the trek to the wedding. It was fun to see a small town wedding- they go all out! And it was my first wedding in a church! Wahoo!
Birthdays tend to get a little anti-climatic the older I get. Dangit- wink wink. But I am feeling much older and much wiser too. and I still really love this guy. Maybe next year we'll go to Europe instead of Leeds, ND? Hahaha... Adult life is so weird. More on that another day.
we've spent a lot of time playing with these little girls- I can't get over how big Clara and Georgia are now! They were just babies and now their miniature humans, and I hate it! Boy they are funny though!
Labor Day I went for an awesome , and gorgeous run!
we then headed to Lake Sakakawea with the Noel fam for one last summer hurrah!
and we drove past Azkaban on the way- everytime I drive by this I think, this is the most random building ever! because it is. Maybe it's ND's own floating jail.
The beach wasn't all that high class- haha.. but the kids had a blast and we had it all to ourselves!
We even had an awesome dinner at the tiny diner on the way home.
Lucy, Ivy, Oliver (Lucy's future husband- no really, she tells me all the time she's going to marry Oliver in the temple. Which is fiiiiinnne by me!), and Violet
Tyler, Jaymie & Eleanor, Ruby, and Clara
and just another random Target and Barnes&Noble trip- Clara's favorite place! Sure love these little book worms!
coming next: Lucy's first day of Soccer, Pre-school, and Ballet! And then some!
