Skiing, Bowling, and more!

Lucy is a pro skiier!
The Friday after Christmas my whole family went up skiing! My mom had to work, so Lucy got a special one on one lesson with her Grandpa! It was perfect weather and she skiied ALL day! Probably like 10-12 runs! It was crazy. She got so good by the end of the day! I wish we could take her more!
I'm so proud of her!
Shawn & Melissa brought Carter up to play in the snow/ski, and Cheryl and Kyle even came up to the lodge for lunch and to watch Lucy ski. It was such a fun day. I even got Tyler to ski with me!
 Tyler took Lucy home about 3:15, so I got to do a few runs with the parentals before we headed home!

The 26th Tyler went shooting with Porter, and the girls and I did some returns/shopping with Grandma Carrie & Cheryl. Tyler came to pick Lucy up half way through to go pick up her skis from Luke's shop, so we only had one little girl to chase after! It makes such a world of difference!
 That night we had Mandarin take out--- aahhhmazzing. Headed over to Boondocks to bowl and play arcades!
The girls had a blast bowling with the whole Brock clan, and how cute are toddler bowling shoes!? I love it!
 We had a blast and for sure will have to go back- and we need to go bowling more up here!
 We finally did our Puzzle Friday night after skiing- my favorite part of Christmas!

Saturday night we put the kids to bed at my mom's and headed over to Amy & Luke's house to play games! It was so nice to have some adult time and not worrying about all these crazy kids!
I think Christmas just about wore Clara right out! 
 Sunday morning was our good friends Porter and Erika's son's baby blessing! Baby Von is the cutest ever, and I'm so mad I didn't get a picture of him, but he was sound asleep by the time I got around to things!

We had a relaxing Sunday hanging out at the Crosland house and Tyler got up and left EARLY Monday morning! Christmas was awesome and I'm so glad we got to share it with our families!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
