Oceanside

We had such a blast in Oceanside! Sunday was my favorite day we had there. We woke up early and made it the 9am ward in Oceanside. We had an awesome sacrament meeting and headed back to eat lunch. We then headed down to the beach to just relax and let the kids play in the sand and sunshine! We had so much fun just sitting in the sun and letting them play! I love the beach!

Clara LOVES sand. The girl was covered. The best was she didn't want to get in the Ocean to wash off, so I carried her over to the showers where I stripped her down and started rinsing her off while she screamed-it was pretty hilarious until she escaped and then fell in the sand again just covered herself even more with sand against her wet body! I then had to wash her off a second time- it was pretty awesome. I love her.

It wouldn't be a trip to the beach without some type of handstand or backflip- i'm such a werido. I wonder how old I'll be when I finally go to do one and just eat it. I'll let you know.
We then headed over to the pier to eat dinner at Rubys.

by some small miracle we were all able to sit together upstairs right as the sun was setting! And Rubys did NOT disappoint! It was SO good! 
After we got home Carrie had put together the CUTEST Birthday party for Cody- which she so sweetly included Lucy in. She had called to ask me if I had any ideas for the party, and I was thinking she was maybe doing a cake? Haha. Lucy of course doesn't really care about anything, so I said no and didn't really think anything else of it. But Bonnie had ordered a bunch of stuff off of Oriental Trading, and Carrie put together the cutest Shark Party for both of them! I'm the dork that didn't do anything! Haha. Thanks again Carrie! Lucy was SO excited to get to celebrate her birthday a little early!
The kids made Shark Faces, went fishing, punched to win prizes, had yummy fish bowls of jello, and of course cupcakes and ice cream!

    If you count getting cupcakes and ice cream then I went all out for a party:) Good thing Lucy's cool with sharks, or at least, the ocean!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
