The Zoo and goodbye!

 Before Tyler had to leave Monday afternoon we managed to get a quick Family picture! After looking back through all of my pictures/blog posts I realized this is the first time we had all been together since 2009! That's 5 years! I can't believe it's really been that long- but we had so much fun all being together!
 We spent the day at the San Diego zoo!
Tyler was with us until after lunch then he had to head back to work!
 
Lucy loves her Uncle Kevin- she even fell asleep on his shoulder for about an hour on the way home! 
 We spent the afternoon at the pool where Lucy pretty much took full advantage of her grandpa and uncles to get them to play with her!
 That night we had a fun activity with uncle Kevin! He got all the kids shirts, fabric paint, and stencils! The kids went to town.. and LOVED it! Ben and Carrie went home Monday night, and Bonnie and Jeff went out by themselves, so the rest of us walked down to the harbor for some amazing Mexican food in our pajamas!
 
We said our goodbyes Tuesday morning! I've never been so sad to leave! I even tried to see if they would let me switch my tickets, but I would have had to pay... haha. Oh well, it was well worth a shot! We miss these cute cousins already!
 Our flight was delayed from Orange County, nothing a little frozen yogurt and running the halls of the airport can't fix!
 We had a pretty beautiful flight into Denver! Flying over the Grand Canyon is pretty incredible!
 We had a looonnnggg 3 hour layover in Denver, but survived none the less! I think I'd give my left arm to go somewhere on a direct flight! Haha. But it was well worth it. I've seriously never been more depressed to come home- Haha. But really. I am so craving the outdoors. This whole next 10 days is below zero degrees. It makes me want to cry- I may have once or twice. I'm sorry for seeming so ungrateful, but it's just the truth! We love Minot- I just want to go outside without one of my kids crying because it's so cold! Sigh... I know it's just a phase, but this being my third winter here I think it's just starting to wear on me. I truly love the outdoors, and so do my kids- as most kids do! We're just really missing it after having some time in the sun! Even in Utah it's 50 degrees all week! What the heck? My mom is coming in 3 weeks and we're so excited! If this weather keeps up we'll have to make a trip back to Utah or somewhere warm for sure soon! Ahhh!! 

Thank you again for the amazing trip Jeff & Bonnie! We're already counting down the days until Lake Powell!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
