a circus, other random happenings, and grandma comes!

We took the girls to the circus. It was the type of circus you would expect to see in Minot, ND. Lots of carni/circus folk, a little inhumane animal treatment, some awesome motocross stunts, and some scantily clad trapeze artists! All in all we had a stellar time, and the girls LOVED it! ;-)
the bowl of dippin dots saved us a bunch of money! we were able to avoid the 'intermission' activities down below! (Face painting, elephant rides, pictures with snakes, oh my!)
I love spending quality time with my clara-bear- especially when it includes freshly made cronuts. and her pepper obsession continues- Jaymie found this on the floor in her kitchen the other day.... awesome!
Tyler officially started his new job a couple weeks ago, and essentially moved out! ;-) But really. I was planning on going to our ward temple day alone, but he surprised us and came home late Friday night! We had such a fun little family date to the temple and my most favorite pizza place ever- McKenzie River! It was so so delicious.
That same weekend was our Stake Conference and the stake up here in Western ND was just split! The church is growing like crazy up here, and it's so awesome to be a part of!
I went in to check on Clara the other night and found her like this.... She always complains of being 'sweaty', but insists on picking and wearing her own pajamas... while obviously she got a little 'sweaty' and took matters into her own hands. This girl kills me! I was dying laughing!
Lucy loves writing lately and made this for my mom for mothers day! She's such a cutie!
have I ever mentioned that Clara is exhausting? Oh, how I love my little Clara Mae!
We've had a few lunch dates...
 and rainy days...
and finally a special visit from Grandma Bonnie! The girls were SO excited to see her! (We all were!) She came just for  quick trip, Thursday-Saturday, because her and Jeff are off to Israel today! Those lucky ducks! But she came just to see Lucy's ballet recital. (Post to come!)
We had so much fun with her while she was here. We made it out to lunch, to Lucy's dress rehearsal, to gymnastics, had lots of reading time, and she watched the girls for me while I was able to get a long run in- in the SUN! (It's still the only day it's been sunny in the last 2 1/2 weeks!), but it was heavenly while it lasted!
and we made it to the zoo! We were all just so happy to be wearing sandals and to be outside! Hallelujah!
The bears came out to shake our hands and say hello! Haha.
and of course we had to feed the animals!
This giraffe was hilarious- he spotted some obviously great grass, and was making sure he found a way to get to it! It was hilarious!
Tyler made it home Friday night just in time to go to dinner and the recital! It was so much fun having her here!
We've really been treasuring our time as a little family of 4 lately! It's going to be a long summer apart from each other! Ugh!
and during our Brock family group text the other day my dad sent this. I'm not jealous at all! He's graduating with his executive MBA this summer! Way to go old man!
