Farewell April, and Clara's 3!

 A quick recap of the rest of April.
Easter break was AWESOME. It was so nice to have no school, no work for me, or just no where we were supposed to be! I love sleeping in with no rush to get anywhere! Take that gym!
 We also had a few fun days at the park! And last night it snowed 3 inches... Why Minot? Whyyyy?
 Lucy also got her Kindergarten shots! We talk very openly at our house about needles (probably because I'm desperately afraid!) and she was a champ. She knew what was going to happen and it was no big deal at all! There was one big, "Owwww!!!" and then she was done! She got her lollipop and two stickers and was ready to head to storytime! Wahoo!
 We had Clara's birthday party on Friday (previous post!) but that night Lucy had a birthday party, so after feeding the missionaries Tyler and I took Clara out on a little date to get ice-cream! She was SO excited to have us all to herself. I just love my little girl!
 and my favorite pink house in Minot. I'm getting oddly nostalgic about everything here! ugh! and running in the rain. it's been SO hard to get out running lately. no motivation, horrible weather, husband gone. I just want some sunny saturday mornings! Is that so much to ask?
Lucy's preschool teacher- Miss Jess is a saint! She had a Parents Appreciation Night where she volunteered to watch EVERYONE's kids for 3 full hours! It was SO awesome and we ended up having the funnest date night with all of our closest friends up here.

We went to Souris River Brewery- one of my favorites here in Minot. I had the amazing Jalapeno cream cheese burger and sweet potato fries... Yum. (Obviously whole30 approved...) and then walked over to Sweet n' flour for Dessert. Which was passion fruit cheesecake, creme brulee, and a nutella cronut..... I'm still in food heaven.

 Jaymie and I don't mess around about sharing good food. Seriously so good. 
It was the perfect date night. Great food, and even better company. 

Monday morning was Clara's 3rd Birthday! Ah! I still cannot believe she's 3! If you want to read about the day she was born, it's under the 'popular posts' on the sidebar of my blog.
She was pretty spoiled! She got a fabulous Minnie Mouse pillow pet from Grandma Carrie, (along with a million other Disneyland souvenirs over the last few weeks! Haha!) From us she got an Anna dress-up an doll, Elsa shoes, and a Minnie Mouse hat, candy, and chapstick! Grandma Bonnie sent her her very own Pluto! Her favorite! And another Frozen Look and Find book. She loves those books and can find everything so fast! I love her!
 We had a pretty low-key day- Lucy actually stayed home from school sick (Fever from her shots!), but we managed to sneak out after dinner for some McDonalds ice cream cones and playtime! 
 I still can't believe my girls are 5 and 3! I swear Clara was just born. 
Happy happy Birthday my sweet Clara Mae! I love you my sweet, hilarious, exhausting, persuasive, adorable, energetic, pepper-eating, 3 year old.

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
