A Storybook Ballet & Mothers Day

 Lucy had her ballet recital this last weekend! This year for their 'show' they did 'A Storybook Ballet' with all different numbers from popular movies, etc... Lucy's class did Curious George, and then her and a few other girls in her class were asked to do a second number- A Bug's Life. She was pretty excited to perform! She didn't love having the not most 'feminine' costumes this year, but she was still SO adorable and did such a great job in both of her dances! She was so excited to have Grandma Bonnie there to watch her too!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! I got flowers and breakfast in bed, and didn't leave my bed until 11! I took Lucy to her final performance and then met up with Tyler and Clara at church. I was actually able to go to Relief Society because they had someone covering my class, and it was so nice! Tyler made me one of the best steaks I've ever had! And then we had a romantic evening folding laundry, doing dishes, and packing up Tyler's stuff for his next week away.... Ahh, adult life.
I truly love being a mom! and love love both of our beautiful mothers! yay for mothers day!

We're still hanging in there. The girls and I will take off for Utah in just a couple short weeks! I'm usually SO excited to go, but I'm really not- like at all. Maybe it has to do with packing up my entire house and chasing around two little rug rats on my own? Haha. But really! I'm so so so sad to leave. I know we'll be back in the fall (or at least I think) but still, it's just weird. It's just been a really weird couple months- but such is life! We're really looking forward to Lake Powell and some sunshine though!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
