Valentines Day 2015

A very happy love day to you! We attempted heart hair do's this year... which basically just resulted in some somewhat looking heart hair do's, and Lucy was pretty late to school. Ha! You win some you loose some right? The girls thought it was pretty cool though. I love them.
I was in charge of Lucy's Valentine's Party and it went great. I divide responsibility like a true champion. Hahaha... But really. Why I am the room mom I will never know, but there are some awesome other parents in there that know what they're doing, so cheers to that!

Valentines morning Tyler had to work for a few hours, but after we came home from Ballet and had an epic dance party, Dad walked in the door with chocolate covered strawberries--- and even some for the girls too! We are pretty ecstatic! And a new skillet.... Giddy up. Love that man.
We actually went out on Valentines Day! I can't even remember we went on an actual date the two of us on Love day. There of course was a super long wait, so we ended up returning the skillet after some online research and are still undecided. Such is life.
We had a great dinner at Longhorns then because it was so early and there was no way our kids were asleep yet, we continued the journey for Dessert at Sweet n' Flour. 
8 years ago today he proposed! Best decision I ever made. I love him to the moon and back! Happy love day!
and really.... he got me chocolate covered strawberries, a night out, a good steak, and cheesecake. Well done Tyler, well done!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
