Lake Powell 2015 part 2

Oh Lake Powell! How we love you so! 

My favorite part this year was watching all of the grandkids water ski! We had a good little system with Uncle Luke on shore helping the kids get up, Papa in the Kayak shuttling the kids over to him, and Tyler driving the boat. All the kids loved it!
 Love all of these girls, girls, girls! They were such troopers, even when it was SO hot! We just had to be careful to stay extra hydrated, and take lots of dunks in the lake to stay cool!
 and Lucy was up first! She did awesome! We went out of our little cove, down the canyon, turned around and all the way back in. The older kids all made it the whole way by the end of the trip!
Cute Blake and Macey! I think Macey had the most fun! 
 I was a little surprised when Clara said she wanted to try! She almost got a little too nervous, but I said I would take a video of her and then she was all for it! She surprised us all but not falling once and made it all the way back to the houseboat and we finally had to let her go! Her little legs on those skis were the cutest things ever!

Cute Callie did so good too! She got up for about 10 seconds each time and then fell back. I'm sure she could have gotten up, but the thing with 4 year olds is that they aren't super patient! Haha!
 and of course tubing! I love seeing all 7 of those cute kids on the tubes at the same time!
 Just think- last year Callie fell asleep on every tube ride we went on! Haha! She's the best!
 So much swimming fun! The kids seriously lived in the water all week!
 We all got some awesome stuff at the auction, and maybe Tyler stole more than half of the gold dubloons-- but such is the life of a pirate! 
 and of course wakeboarding! We don't go nearly as much as we did pre children--but still so much fun! I still wakeboarded a bunch, I was just way more sore the next day! Haha! And opted out of my once yearly attempt at jumping the wake-- I think I'm up to like 2 feet in. Only like 15 more to go! ;-)
 Cody even tried and did so well! We need to get a kids wakeboard next year! He did awesome!
 Clara came with us early one morning in typical Clara form....

 and my little cutie Clara! She was so worried about not knowing how to fall- because the first time she never did! We hit some pretty big waves as some boats passed and she did finally fall down. It was so funny to see her so worried about not knowing how to do something- like falling! She cracks me up.
 I love my little Lu!
 and of course Luke took the girls on the air chair one day! He is so good to them!
We had a fun excursion one afternoon over to Escalante. It was so beautiful! And so hot! Luckily we found the perfect little cove to cool off in and swim! Long boat rides are my favorite!
and the girls found their own 'cliff' to jump off of!

 and a cute sleepy Logan on the paddle board!
 and we finally taught the kids how to play Royal Rumble! A much calmer version of course, but the kids thought jumping between the two tubes was the best thing thats ever happened to them!
 and maybe the adults did too! Haha!
 It was such an amazing trip! We can't wait until next year! Thank you Bonnie & Jeff!!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
