Taylor Swift & a Baby Shower!

So my friends are seriously the cutest, and threw me a surprise baby shower! Jenny & Jaymie were the masterminds behind it, and I still have no idea how they pulled it off! Our cute friend Celeste was flying in to Minot for our girls weekend to go see T-Swift! She just moved back to Idaho, and we were all so excited to finally go see Taylor since we bought out tickets last December... Haha! I picked her up at the airport and she just kept saying we should go hang out at Jaymie's before our girl's night that night! Her 30th birthday was the day before, so we were planning on going out that night and leaving for Fargo the next day! Tyler was gone driving the boat back... again... haha... So I was up for whatever! We showed up to Jaymie's house and walked in and all of my friends jumped out yelling, "Surprise!" I was so confused! I thought it was like a a surprise birthday party for Celeste, but then couldn't figure out why I didn't know about it... It was hilarious. Celeste had to tell me it was a baby shower for me... Ha! It was all so cute! They sure made me and baby feel extra special! All I kept thinking was I was so glad I put on actual pants that day! And I literally put make-up on like 5 minutes before going to get Celeste... it's really a miracle I wasn't in my pajamas still!

 33 weeks!
 I got some seriously incredible gifts-- two freshly picked gift cards, art for my nursery, SO many clothes, a gift card for a nursing cover, and so many little favorite baby things! 
 It was so fun! Thank you again my cute cute friends! Love you!

We had a low-key night chatting at my house, then took off Sunday afternoon for Fargo!

 I was in a room with Jaymie and Jenny, and of course we were up super late every night! We all hung out together Sunday night after a yummy dinner at Noodles! 

Monday we slept in, ate lunch at Chili's, and did some shopping! So happy just to have a Gap, Loft, and Gymboree! Haha! Love these beauties! We headed back to the hotel to get ready, grabbed dinner at Chipotle, and headed to the concert!
 We seriously lucked out with incredible tickets! Jenny, Jaymie, Ivy, Celeste, and I were all together, then Kami, Tera and their girls were together. We were on the floor, right in the center/aisle and could see everything! Taylor was amazing as usual! I only had to sit down a few times-- totally over did it walking around the mall all day, but it was still SO SO fun!
It was seriously such a blast! It was the perfect little getaway before baby comes so soon!
 We headed to IHOP after the concert and were maybe there until about 1:30am, and then were up chatting for a couple hours after! I was only a little tired the next day! Haha!
I drove home with Jenny, and we headed to the mall for a bit so she could do some quick shopping- she got there a day later than us! After we made sure that all 6 of us now owned matching sweats.... we headed to costco and hurried home to make it to our kiddos! 
I love all of these women so much! We have so much fun together, and I would seriously be lost without them! Such a fun trip. Thanks for holding down the fort to my cute hubby!

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! He even took Rex with him to a bunch of games and coached while Rexy was strapped to him in the baby carrier! Dad of the year! (I was at piano lessons with Lucy!) hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. She is wild and free, full of light, and joyful. Clara is six. She is full of FIRE, spice, and quite a bit of sass. She is fiercely loyal, tender, and a snuggler. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
