mashed potatoes.

i don't really like potatoes.

unless you count french fries.

never really have.

i am usually a pretty good cook.

and have never really had a kitchen 'catastrophe' yet.

but i never cook potatoes.

today i was going to make mashed potatoes.

a fabulous recipe filled with cream cheese, lots and lots of butter, and half and half.

sounds good right?

well.

i cut up the potatoes before church trying to save time, and came home to this.

this is when my sister cheryl would say, "my mom never taught me how to cook mashed potatoes".

Sorry mom.

but i guess you never taught me what happens after you cut potatoes.

you probably thought it was common sense.

just like tyler did.

Lucy has officially slept in her bed for a full week now!

i seriously am in shock it was this easy of a transition...

now to get rid of going to sleep at night with a bottle... she doesn't have one for naps, so I think she will be fine, but sometimes if she wakes up super early we will give her a bottle to put her back to sleep so we can get a few more hours of sleep...

honestly-

i think tyler and i will miss the bottle way more than lucy.

i love how small she looks in her bed.... we still have a lot of 'adjusting' to do to 'the girls' room, but Lucy loves it!

and just cute Lucy eating some 'berries'.

i love the strawberry all in her teeth!

oh and one more thing.

this morning lucy was watching 101 Dalmatians...

she then got out finding nemo and comes over saying, "MEMO, MEMO!!"

next thing i know she has successfully inserted the finding nemo DVD into the dvd player, with 101 Dalmatians still in there. needless to say... they are both still in there, and we aren't sure when they are coming out.
