the terrible twos.

lucy will be 2 next month!
i can't even believe it.
she truly is in her terrible twos. 
that little girl is so full of herself sometimes...
lately she has gotten into glaring at strangers- not just like a dirty look, but like head down and down right mean! today she broke down in tears because someone looked at her wrong in costco.
it's almost comical.
she used to like smile and wave to people... she still does on occasion, but she can be a b-r-a-t.
i think because it's just her and me all the time she is used to having 100% of my attention, and usually getting what she wants, mainly because i'm just home all day to play with her- she is not quite sure how to wait for things, and we are trying to teach her patience and tell her no more often!
she is such a girl, and seriously checks herself out in the mirror after she gets ready and her hair done. it's so funny- she is a show off, and always puts her hands on her hips and looks at me with her head tilted with this little face like, 'what mom?'.
i think she is going to get quite the wake up call when our next one gets here!
she really is so sweet though, and makes me laugh all day long.
i love my little janie.
she is starting to talk a lot better- but still just single words and then gibberish.

she missed her nap the other day and came home and crashed on the couch watching her favorite movie, 'me-mo' (finding nemo...) she is having such a hard time waking up from her naps lately- she won't get out of her crib. she just wants to lay there for like a half hour and cuddle on her pillow- i have to like bribe her out with food! no joke- she is totally her mother's daughter. loves her sleep!

she also still loves her 'B'. (binky and blanky) tyler and i started calling them her, "B & B" like as a code word, and now she always asks for her 'B'. it's so cute though!

so baby #2.
i am now 24 weeks along!
i will have her sometime that first week of May- i swear time is moving SO fast!
I'm so excited to have Miss. Mae- but not ready to have 2 children. I am already feeling overwhelmed, so hopefully time will slow down! 
I am feeling great- but definitely have a big belly!
I think i've gained like 12 pounds or something.. but considering i really haven't exercised in the last 3 months.... i do it to myself.
she is a little mover lately, and tyler finally felt her move for the first time the other day!
she loves to sit on my bladder, and i swear it feels like i'm 8 months pregnant sometimes because i feel just so big and uncomfortable when she is moving and i have just eaten!
i love to eat.. seriously. constantly. i am always eating, and always wanting candy, and crap basically. i think i could eat a cheeseburger everyday.
i'm definitely failing at eating healthy during pregnancy- but it's winter, and it's so hard anyway to eat healthy during the winter!
other than my skin being a little off, and i swear i'm sweating more than normal... i feel awesome.
hoping it keeps up!

P.S. Any cute older girl names?
Right now we like: Clara, Lily, or Alice
but i swear nothing is sticking out! Help!!

    Such a good post! Lucy is so cute! I love that doggy shirt! I like the name Lily, I think Lily and Lucy sound cute together! and we went to Macie's 2 year appointment and her Ped. said not to worry about the binki til the new baby gets here! What a relief cause we are not ready to get rid of it!!

    Funny you should ask for old fashioned girl names; I just found the list I made of possible names when I was expecting Amelia and put it in her baby book. I plan on going back through the same list next time we're expecting a girl because I love so many of the names! Here's the list:

    Adelaide, Leah, Sabrina, Clementine, Suzette, Savannah, Scarlett, Clair, Deserae, Evelyn Evangeline, Eleanor, Estella, Katrina, Matilda, Violet, Geneva, Lydia, Lavinia, Lenora and Beatrix.

    Good luck finding the right name!

    Ha Ha Carly your so funny, gaining 12 pounds is nothing, I guarantee by the time I was as far along as you, I had gained like 25. :) But thats the joys of pregnancies its okay to gain weight and especially eat what you want!

    i can so totally relate to the "terrible twos". Grace is going to be 3 in March...and WOW. What a rollercoaster she has been through the past year. seriously. she wasn't so much a diva as she was just SASSY. We call her our sassafras she is so sassy. Its ridiculous.
    We love the older names too. One of our favorites is Millie and we love Evelyn too. We seriously considered those when Grace was born and will consider them again when we finally get pregnant someday.
    Good luck with your pregnancy! Eat. Its ok. :) You can when you have the excuse "i'm eating for two!!" ;)
    have fun with little lucy!! she will get bigger so so fast.

I still can't believe my little Clara-bear-a is old enough to be in Kindergarten! She has absolutely loved it. These two are pretty adorable walking to school every morning together! Another great soccer season! Tyler was roped into coaching Clara's team again and wins at the best dad and coach ever! hello!

it's me! I'm back. I have missed writing, so here I am. writing. so very much has happened since I first began this blog back in 2008! ah! almost 10 years ago. Time has seriously flown. I feel like I am a completely different person, and yet still exactly the same. Maybe just a little more perspective? That's a good thing right!? our family is still living the dream up here in North Dakota. We thought we were maybe coming up here for a year, and five and a half years later..... here we are! our kids have truly grown up here. Lucy is eight. Yes, eight! She has gotten to tall and gangly. Lucy is finally here!!

Lucy Jane Crosland February 25, 2009 1:23am 6 lbs 12 oz 18 inches long We would like to welcome our sweet little girl Lucy to the world! It was an eventful entrance she made and we're glad she is finally here and perfect! My water finally broke Tuesday afternoon so we went into the hospital about four and they decided to start me on pitocin since other than my water breaking not too much was going on-- after being on pitocin for about a 1/2 hr I was ready for my epidural! ((again- Im not quite sure how people do this naturally- I only had 30 minutes of real contractions and was ready for all the needles in the world!) The epidural was wonderful- I highly recommend it!! Well-- at midnight I had pretty much stalled out at being dialated at a 4.5--so the doctor came in and said that basically if I hadn't dialated in the next little while much it was most likely that they were going to do a C-section-- so for the next hour me, Ty and my mom just prayed that I was dialating, and I ...
