FYI

FYI.... Papa Jeff (Tyler's dad) has officially named our babe- Emma. He says he wants a Lucy and an Emma. He also says I am carrying twins, so it doesn't matter if we don't love the name Emma, we can just name one Emma, and then we can decide the other one's name. Seeing as we are over-running the Crosland family with little girls, we can at least give Papa his one wish right? At least Lucy and Blake like horses- otherwise we might go crazy with all these little girls!
My mother informed me that Joseph Smith's mother was Lucy, and his wife was Emma.
Duh mom.
Whatever the case- Emma is now in the running for our little one's name. I just wish it wasn't so popular.

Anyway.
We had our last 'Big' competition saturday, and my girls did SO awesome! They were so much more prepared, has so much more energy, etc... I was so proud. They scored 20/20 for difficulty, and overall scores improved a TON. Unfortunately they had 2 really random falls- so they took 3rd- but still. That's life, and they still did so so good. It's always the stuff you are worried about that hits and does awesome, and something you never think of that goes wrong. Really though- they look so awesome, I am getting so excited for nationals in March!! It makes me so sad to think that I probably won't be coaching next year- I know it's really just not really possible, but still. I finally have the program the way I want it, and my girls have improved like a TON. When I first started coaching by the time we competed they could all barely do Libs, and even then they would only sometimes hit, there was no way they could full down out of a lib- tumbling was pretty much awful... and well ya. This year all 4 groups have scorpion, stretch, besque, and lib full downs, rewinds, full ups, 540, awesome baskets, standing tucks, etc... etc... they have worked so hard and I just hope I can leave the program in good hands! I keep thinking that maybe there is someway I can still coach... we'll see. If I didn't have to go to all the games maybe... but who knows!

Lucy is so funny. That's really all. She makes me laugh all day everyday! I still have no idea what she is trying to say 80% of the time, but her vocabulary is really increasing and she is getting so good at her colors! I'm such a proud mama! I love my little Jane.

  1. I think that would be neat to have a Lucy and Emma. It is a lot less popular now, I know a few Emmas but they are like 12. This post is ironic cause I just got done watching the Joseph Smith movie at the memorial buliding and I thought about that name! I am happy your cheerleaders are doing so well! Everytime you post about them I think of our days and how funny they were!

  2. I like the name Emma, but you're right it's really popular. Tyler & I always loved the name Emerie, until my brother named his little girl that :) So there's another suggestion that's close to Emma.
