knights, hair-dos, toy story, and nays.
random?
yes.
i have been bouncing around between cheer with orem, cheer with kaysville, playing with lucy at home, cleaning my house, trying to be a good wife, etc...
but really all my favorite things... minus the cleaning the house part!
orem had their big rivalry game with mtn view friday night, and much to my girl's delight- we won in overtime. i honestly never really watch the game. i really do just watch the cheerleaders really at whatever game we're at.. but lately it's just making sure lucy doesn't run out into the court while the game is going on.
she can be so cute... and quick!
kaysville jr had their final competition on saturday- finally!
The girls seriously did awesome!
i felt like we didn't have that long to perfect a lot of the changes we made in their routine since the last competition- we changed their whole opening stunt, and added some difficulty- and two girls got kicked off for not making grades- but seriously- i am impressed!
they didn't drop any stunts, and i could not be happier about how they did!
my dad recorded it, so as soon as he sends the video to me, I will put it up- because they did so good.
the girls were all really bummed because they took second to a team that had a stunt fall, and they didn't have any falls--- junior high girls are so funny.... haha... but i think they should still be so proud of themselves. It has been such a different experience being just a 'competition coach' and only seeing them once a week during competition season- but I'm really glad I did it.
Here is cute candace and me... can you believe she is now the tallest girl in our family?
she by far got the good genes out of the girls... nice dark thick hair, big full lips... boys better watch out! i can't believe she will be in high school next year!
The team..
Julia, Mrs. Pierce (their advisor), Miranda, Brynna, Kendra, Presley, Reagan, Me,
Lovie, Quincie, Jill
Lindsie, Candace, and Sadie
after the competition my mom and I were attempting to do Candace's hair for how she has to have it for dance competitions this year... oh my gosh. most complicated thing ever! I'm not for sure what their director is thinking... but anyway. later that night Lucy was watching UP and sitting on a stool so she was letting me play with her hair... so she got the 'sweet' up-do done too!
it looks way cuter on her... haha... so funnny.
and last but not least... cheryl and kyle brought lucy over some little animal figurines with some toy story ones mixed in there, and lucy LOVES them.
she is obsessed with the two horses, and woody and buzz. (woo-y, and B to her)
these pictures just make me laugh... she is into the funniest things lately, and seriously has the most vivid imagination! she is definitely my daughter... i can't believe how smart and big she is getting!
she will be 2 on friday! Ah!
she will only eat meals at 'her table' now. her little friends frequently join her.
last night she went to bed with buzz, the two figurine horses, a stuffed animal horse, and of course her binky and blanky. (but good news... night #2 with no bottle! she is doing great!)
oh and get this.. i think maybe putting her in a twin bed is backfiring completely.
she won't sleep in the porta-crib now. Fail.
we slept at my mom's friday, and long story short I finally had to take her upstairs to the nursery because she wasn't letting tyler get any sleep, so I took her up to put her in the crib and I could sleep in the twin bed right by her... but nope.
she got the twin bed. and went right to sleep.
we're going to st. george next week with tyler's mom and sisters... hopefully she will sleep in her crib, because chances are, we won't have a bed reserved just for the 2 year old! haha.
we love little jane.
i think we've narrowed down names to....
alice mae or clara mae.
at least for now.
and. I got my quilt back for Lucy's bed... I still have to do the edges... my mind just went blank on that word... but it turned out BEAUTIFUL! I'm so excited to get the girls room all decorated. I am thinking about making a smaller quilt for the crib so they will match.... Hmmm...
only like 2 months until we have this baby... AH!!
one month until California/Nationals with my cheerios! Yay!
St. George next week!
and hopefully spring weather is just around the corner!
Oh my word I guess I hadn't realized how much hair Lucy has gotten until that picture...it's cute! Macey still has no hair, hehe. We're excited to see you guys! Make sure to post a pic of the quilt I can't wait to see it!
