the girls room.
so- documenting, how we are fitting our family of 4 into our little 2-bedroom apartment that we have now lived in for almost 4 years! holy crap.
this room was the storage room, then office, then part office part nursery, then nursery, then lucy's 'big girl' room, now it is officially 'the girls' room!
p.s. i love saying 'the girls', because me and cheryl were always 'the girls' growing up.
i really am excited that i get two girls of my own!
i was always afraid i was going to get stuck in a family of all boys- now watch, i'll get stuck having all girls!
anyway.
here is miss lucy and miss clara's shared bedroom- i just finished lucy's quilt like 2 weeks ago, and i love it- I still have not made her pillow sham, so her bed is a little bare- and that dresser needs to be the changing table so i still need to find a cute white shelf to put my porcelain dolls from my grandma, and the glass pig, etc... on- but here it is for now:

hate their closet- the doors are broken and are now in the floor of my closet- they are awful anyway, but i want to get curtains or something to hang there!
i love lucy's little step-stool that she uses to crawl in and out of bed. i love hearing her little knock in the morning when she wakes up!
and look how cute her little bag is that Grandma Bonnie just got her in Peru!
these two dolls are both from my grandma- my mom's mama- who died when I was in like 6th grade, she made porcelain dolls and collected all sorts of dolls and i loved playing with them when I was little, when she died we all got our own porcelain doll from her, and my mom got a good collection of madame alexander dolls from her too, and I got this one. I love that I get to see them in cute Lucy's room all the time! In case you were wondering- I named the yellow one 'Ashley' when I was little. I thought it was SUCH a cool name. =)
Lucy LOVES that tea set too- it came in her set of dishes we got her for Christmas and she takes the chair from her little table over to the dresser and climbs up it so that she can get the tea set down and play with it- it's like ceramic/glass or something, and she's already broken two pieces.
at least she likes it right?
this was the little banner i made for lucy's birthday party, i found that cute owl print at target, then I made the two alphabet prints just from stencils.
Lucy seriously has so many toys, I've been looking for some cute under-the-bed storage containers because that little book shelf is about to burst with toys!
i loved getting out all of lucy's baby clothes for little clara. they are all so cute hanging up waiting for her to arrive- yay for girls!
i'm excited for these two girls to share a room- i just hope the sleeping situation works out alright!
lucy is a pretty heavy sleeper usually- but I have no idea how she will do with a baby in the room!

darling! i love it!
